REMEMBER OUR VETERANS, PAST AND PRESENT WHO HAVE
FOUGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM. ''ALL GAVE SOME, SOME GAVE ALL''. THEY SHALL
NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

This is me...I think it was taken in 92 or 93
few more grey hairs and wrinkles...a FEW ;-)
About me
My whole life has evolved around the Military and Veterans
and I have devoted that life to doing what ever I can to ensure that they
(Vets) get the recognition they deserve.
The saying "A MAN IS NOT GONE UNTIL HE IS FORGOTTEN" is the message
I would like you all to keep fresh in your mind when you think about our
Vets, not only on Veterans and Memorial Day...but EVERY day.
This page is dedicated to ALL Veterans, but there are
a few who hold a very special place in my heart...and I would like to tell
you about them. I miss them very much ! They are all buried near each other
in the Veterans section of a beautiful cemetery here in my home town, where
I am able to visit often. Each Memorial Day the American Legion places (and
watches over) the flags that have been donated by family members of Vets.
They place the flags on every road through out the park. It's very emotional
to see hundreds of flags waving in the breeze.
I was fortunate enough to be able to go to
Washington DC on Memorial day of 1999 and will be going again in May
of 2004 for the WW2 Dedication.

PLEASE DO NOT FORGET OUR POW/MIAS

My name is Janis and these are my Special Heroes:
( I hope they know how much I love them)
My Biological Dad, Charles Parsons Farmer, an Army
(WW2 POW) Veteran.
My Step Dad, Howard Lee Palmer, a 30 year Navy
Veteran.
My Husband, Daniel Patrick Henry, a Marine and Vietnam
Veteran.
And My Adopted POW/MIA Marine LTC Gary H.
