CH Danaris Georgia O'Keeffe OFA Good

(BIS CH Prince Valiant's Happy Time x CH Danaris-Auten Hidden Talent)

Funny, sweet Georgia was WB at the 1989 North Jersey Brittany Club for a five point major.  She was the first dog I ever won a ribbon with at a field trial in a regular stake- a Derby Fourth!  At the time, Justin was off to Gene Stewart to be broke.

I remember the day of her first ribbon well.  On the way home, we stopped at a show and got funny looks.  Georgia was all grease, covered in Avon Skin-So-Soft (for ticks), and I was dressed in trial clothes.  We got some funny looks from a few show people, who were probably thinking that some bum showed up with their junkyard dog!

Georgia has lots of reach and drive.

Below is Georgia at age 12.5 years at the 2000 Central New England Brittany Specialty.  Over ten years years have passed since she finished.  She is bright eyed, healthy and sound and moves as great as she did when she was two.  Smooth with reach and drive.  I talked her co-owner, Staci, into letting me take her out so that people could see her.  Interestingly, her son Corey beat her for Best in Veteran Sweepstakes at the show and her granddaughter Reba beat her for Best of Opposite in Veteran Sweepstakes.  Her great great granddaughter Jaci's Smokin' Lil Dynamo was at the show (9-12 puppy) as well.

Georgia has the arch of neck, shoulder layback and front angulation we should strive for in Brittanys.  Boy, I now know how hard it is to keep!  We bought Georgia from Nancy and Donell Harris and through the years I have come to appreciate the difficult job others have done before me in this breed.

Now THIS is what 12.5 years can look like!  First time in the ring in ten years.
