    Dennis and Cindy Fischer (LaPorte, Indiana) announce the birth of their first grandchild.  Their daughter, Becky Jeffers, gave birth to Audrey Danielle Jeffers on October 4, 2003.  Audrey weighed 7 lbs, 12 oz., and was 21 inches long at birth.   Audrey and her proud parents and grandparents are doing great!!  For a picture of Audrey with her dad, grandpa, and grandma, go to:   Audrey Danielle Jeffers  
 
    Cyril Daddieh (Cranston, Rhode Island) will spend the 2004-2005 school year on sabbatical to Ghana.  Cyril is Professor of Political Science and Director of Black Studies at Providence College.  
    Cyril's daughter, Jeannetty, is a freshman in the pharmacy program at St. John's University in New York.
  
    Rob and Nancy Schanke and their family moved from Indiana to Pueblo West, Colorado, in early August.  They left Indiana on August 4, arrived in Pueblo on August 6, and moved into their house on August 7.  Rob reported to his new job on August 8, left for South Korea for Army Reserve duty on August 10, and returned on September 3.  He was detailed to Bectel Corporation in San Francisco for two weeks in October.  
    Rob and Nancy's son, Jim, is a freshman at the University of Idaho.  Jim joined Air Force ROTC.  To see his picture, go to:  http://www.webs.uidaho.edu/afrotc/delta_flight.htm  
    Rob, Nancy, and their daughter, Angela, will fly to Seattle for Thanksgiving to see Jim.  Rob's in-laws live in Seattle and will pick up Jim from college.

     Cathy (Will) Adkinson (Harrodsburg, Kentucky) is leaving the Kentucky World Trade Center to take a similar accounting job with the Home Builders Association of Lexington.  In her new job, Cathy will work fewer hours and will drive into Lexington only four days a week instead of five.
  
    Jeff Root (Fairfax, Virginia) attended the Wisconsin/Penn State football game on October 4.  Other recent activities include seeing Bruce Springsteen in concert on September 13, and seeing the Eagles and the Dixie Chicks at a benefit concert on October 12.  Jeff and his wife, Penny, participated in a bio-terrorism exercise to test Fairfax County's smallpox vaccination program on October 25.  
    Jeff and Penny's son, Andy, is studying computer repair at Northern Virginia Community College and working in the electronics department at Walmart.  Their daughter, Hannah, plays baritone in her elementary school band.
