    Sarah (Bumby) Colonna dressed up in clothing of the 1800's when Ripon second graders visited the Ripon Historical Society and Little White Schoolhouse in May.  For a picture, go to:  http://my.core.com/~riponhistsoc/newsletter_2007_august.htm and scroll down.  Also pictured is Shirley Williams, mother of Robert Williams (Fond du Lac).
 
    Chad Cartier, son of Kerry and Jennifer (Daehn) Cartier (Waunakee), is in the second year of the masters in psychology program at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He is also a teaching assistant with the UW-Stout Counseling Department.  After he graduates in May, Chad hopes to become a counselor at a university, clinic, or hospital.  He is also considering pursuing a doctorate degree in order to teach at the college level.
 
    Tim Coolidge, 21-year-old son of Debbie (Bonsen) and Doug Coolidge (Mesquite, Texas), is majoring in criminal justice at Texas A & M.  He wants to become a police officer, SWAT team officer, or DPS Officer.  Debbie and Doug's daughter, Vicki, is a first grader.  She loves reading, crafts, swimming.
 
    Kim Cory sold her business, Cory Graphics, on May 1, 2006, and "retired."  After a 3-month transitional period, she moved to the suburbs of Milwaukee, and is now celebrating her one-year anniversary of "foot loose and fancy free!"  In the last year, she has become a certified scuba diver and explored the reef of Ambergris Caye (Belize), gone on safari to climb with mountain gorillas in Uganda and Rwanda, spent a month in New Mexico as a caregiver for her aunt who was recovering from a broken hip, gone fishing and canoeing in Upper Michigan, and entertained lots of friends and neighbors at her new house.

    Justin Martin, son of Carol (Neitzke) Martin (Clarksville, Tennessee), is a member of the Music City Legend Drum Corps in Nashville.  Over Labor Day weekend, Carol traveled with Justin to Rochester, NY, where he participated in the 2007 Drum Corps Associates (DCA) World Championships.  Justin participated in the solo and ensemble competition and with the Music City Legend Drum Corps in the Open Class Championship.
 
    Hannah Root, daughter of Jeff and Penny Root (Fairfax, Virginia), is playing sousaphone in the Robinson High School marching band.  The band has already performed at three Robinson home games this fall.  
    Jeff visited Ripon on August 17-18.  While there, he went to dinner at Bernie's Italian Steakhouse in Princeton with Larry Hammerling and Larry's parents, Bill and Pauline.  At Bernie's, Jeff saw co-owner Carla (Hunger) Berndt for the first time since high school graduation 34 years ago.  Later that evening, he got together with Candy Fitzwater and Mark Zeatlow.  On Sunday morning, Jeff attended Grace Lutheran Church and saw Jeff and Paula Paulson, Ruth Ann Smith, and others.  After church, Jeff went to lunch with David and Mary Jane Schanke.
 
News from Other Classes
 
    The Ripon High School Class of 1972 held its 35th reunion on July 14 at Royal Ridges in Ripon.  Forty-one classmates attended.
 
Teacher News
 
    Gib Stoeberl, retired RHS social studies teacher and wrestling coach, was named District XI Assistant Coach of the Year by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association.  Gib was RHS defensive coordinator for 28 years for Jim Watson, and is in his ninth year as the Tigers' offensive line coach for Rick Kelm (RHS '79). In Remembrance
 
    Nathaniel (Brad) Will, father of Cathy (Will) Adkinson (Harrodsburg, Kentucky), passed away on May 1 in Lexington, Kentucky. (RCP, May 10, 2007)
 
    Robert Ziegler, older brother of Dennis Ziegler (Ripon), passed away on July 1.  
 
     Kristy Roeder, daughter of David and Robin (Kehl) Roeder, passed away on July 15 as a result of an automobile accident.  
 
     Joyce Schenke, mother of Scott Schenke (Hales Corners), passed away on Friday, September 21.  
 
    Please keep Cathy, Dennis, David and Robin, and Scott and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
