John’s Birdwatching
INTRODUCTION
My web site shows some of the birdwatching reports on foreign holidays with my wife Angela. Thank you, Angela for the tolerance you have always shown towards my birdwatching activities since I started birdwatching in 1986 and during our ‘family’ holidays. The site also carries reports on a few privately arranged foreign tours. In addition there are various links to the birdwatching tour companies I have travelled with over the years. There are also links to other birdwatching sites which I have found useful or relevant to my own interests. I hope that you find some of these interests correspond with your own.
REPORTS
Our birdwatching on ‘family’ holidays is sometimes leisurely. Some of my trip reports would not therefore claim to be a comprehensive coverage of the area or its species but they indicate what can be done with limited activity and which species are more readily visible. Other reports more fully reflect the sites to be visited and species found during an active birdwatching trip.

BIRDWATCHING TOUR HOLIDAYS
In addition, my web site also refers to some of the foreign birdwatching tours which I have joined on a nearly annual basis since I retired in late 1989. Links are given to tour company sites which carry dossiers on the relative tours. I have enjoyed these trips and would recommend any of them.

BIRDWATCHING WEB SITES
Since 1990 I have covered more miles than I care to remember birdwatching around the United Kingdom and in pursuit of rarities, often in the company of Chris Roe. Some of our interests are reflected in links from this page to a number of useful web sites on all sorts of birdwatching matters.
Fatbirder
Fatbirder is striving to be the world's greatest resource for birders it has more than 1,400 pages covering every country of the world, every US, Canadian & Australian State & Province and every UK County as well as all aspects of birding - ornithology, birdwatching as a hobby, conservation, where to buy optics, holidays etc.; where to stay and much much more.
Birdtours
Birdtours.co.uk came into existence on the 1st of February 2000 when we first registered our domain. At that time there were just 30 birdwatching trip reports. Such has been the response that there are now some 300 reports from over 80 countries.
Birding the Americas
Most birders enjoy travelling to see birds, and accurate information can improve one's journey. Despite the increasing number of published Birders' Guides now available, most areas in North and South America (the "New World") are not yet adequately covered. And even where such books are available, a well-prepared trip report can augment such sources. This site is a repository wherein people share their birding trip experiences. In addition, other bird-related trip planning information is being incorporated on an on-going basis.
