An all new third edition of "Electric Car Reference"

Radio Control Car Action Magazine. I delivered it in The Summer of 2006.
The magazine decided to serialize the book

see these excerpts appear in the near future and would like to expedite this process send RCCA mag
an e-mail request to the editor. The new cover and Chapter 1 Header

The photos at right are from the new book. The following
description is for the old book
which is no longer for sale.
RC Electric Car Reference is a 140 page self published book printed in black and white on a 1200 dots per inch laser
printer. The book discusses every aspect of building and racing electric RC cars from soldering and wiring to suspension
setup, motor tuning, and dynos
A question asked of late is the book still available. Yes. Is it still relevant. Yes. The Losi XXXS is still much the
same car, only a longer belt has been added. The Associated TC4 has only minor chassis changes to improve side to
side balance with the heavier batteries of today. Brush type motors are still common. Brushless motors are making some
headway and are not discussed in my current book. However, the same principles of turns and wraps, which I do discuss, still
apply to these motors.
The book includes a CD which contains duplicate high resolution color copies of over 150 photos that are in the book
in a Windows, Powerbook, and I-Mac compatible format. The CD also includes a photo viewing program for the PC.
The price of the book which includes the free photo CD is $25.00 plus shipping with a free upgrade to priority mail.
To order your copy of RC Electric Car Reference send a personal check or money order for the cost of the book to the
address below. Credit card orders can use the buttons near the bottom of this page. A
Paypal account is no longer needed
for purchase. A standard credit card is sufficient.
The cost of the book to other countries is stated next to the credit card payment buttons below. This higher cost
reflects only the higher cost of the Priority mail shipping. A money order in US dollars can be used for payment as well.
READERS COMMENTS
"I wish I had read the book before the Snowbirds"
John Wallace
"You really have written the most definitive text on electric RC in an easy to read style.
This is one you keep in your pitbox when at the track. People with all levels of RC
experience should pick up a copy." "$20 is a reasonable price. Anything less would be a steal."
Bill Slabey
“I have great interest in almost anything that comes from Mr. Stranahan.”
I have sold 18 copies of this book at my local track in Houston, so the book is getting good word of mouth reviews.
