Downey High School
[Class of '45]
To all Vikings who were in the class
of '45 I send you greetings! Even tho' I left Downey at the end
of the 10th grade to move to Placentia I still consider myself
a Downey '45er. I attended the multi-class reunion (in '94, I
think) and had a really good time visiting with many old classmates.
However, with some it was an all too brief encounter and I would
very much enjoy chatting with anybody from that time. We lived
on 8th street and I attended Downey schools from the 5th to the
10th grades. Some of you also went to school with me at the San
Gabriel Ave. school in South Gate. I have an old "memories"
book from those earlier years, the kind where we wrote little
humorous ditties and the like and I would be happy to quote from
(or even send a xerox copy to) any of you who were with me in
those days. Also I have the annuals from '40, '42, '43 and '45.
So drop me a line but even if you don't I'll understand that it
really was an awfully long time ago and interest sometimes flags.

Valencia High School
[Class of '45]
To all of you Tigers out there who
attended Valencia High School in Placentia, CA, from 1943-1945,
greetings! Care to reminisce about the "good ol' days"
at our beloved alma mater (well, maybe beloved is a bit too strong);
at any rate the place where we learned some stuff and had some
fun along the way. I have missed the reunions subsequent to the
one in '95 but hope to make it for the next one. I have the school
annuals from those years as well as a few other bits of memorabilia
such as football and play programs that I would be glad to share
by sending anyone that is interested a xerox copy. I'm glad you
found this page...hope to hear from you!
