Welcome! This site is only an introduction and will remain under construction until the main site is completed. We hope through a similar site to bring you on our voyage of discovery from Ireland down the West coasts of Europe and Africa and across the Atlantic to South America, the Caribbean, Bahamas, Central America and beyond ...... We wish to share with you our trials and tribulations, our fascination with exploring new places and meeting people which none of us would have ever been able to meet without a boat like Jorodeta. We therefore are very lucky and hope you can join us. It will not just be plain sailing, there are many adventures in store, there are numerous dangers and together we hope we can overcome them. If possible we may be able to send back video cam footage to this site, if suitable sponsorship arrives.
Jorodeta 1 day out of Puerto de Andratx, Majorca. Choosing a crew is an art which many people overlook, you are all stuck on a little plank sleeping, eating, etc.. on top of each other, if you sulk or have a fight there is nowhere to go. You need open minded, easygoing people, capable of undertaking the hardships of a voyage like this. Experienced although very important, the capability of the crew is crucial.
