Watching the Philadelphia Mummer’s Parade on New Year’s Day has been a tradition for over 100 years!
Today the parade may be best known for the elaborate costumes, music and entertainment provided by the String Bands....
However arguably since the very first Official Philadelphia Parade in 1901…the COMICS have been and continue to be, the True Heart & Sole of the parade!
Jan.1, 2008 Murray Comic Club celebrated its 72th year Since 1986 with the exception of five parades, Murray Comic Club has placed #1 every year!

The Fearsome Foursome minus Two was born in the mid 1980’s when Jerry and Elliott first started marching with the Murray Comic Club. Over the last 20+ years Jerry and Elliott have been marching as a Couples Act with the Murray Comic Club.
They have placed in the top twenty winner’s circle almost every year in their division, and have several First Place Finishes under their belt! They were #1 in 2007
Jay joined the Fearsome Foursome minus Two as the Plus One and marched in Jan.1,1999 parade as a Singles Act.

**Yes however you must be a member of a Mummer's Club

Where is the best place to stand on New Year's Day?
**We are judged at the "B & C" stands.The "C" stand is located at 18th & J.F.K Blvd. The "B" stand is located at 17th & J.F.K. Blvd
What time on New Year's Day do you march and get judged?
**The parade starts at about 9 am. The COMICS are first up Broad Street. Murray Comic Club...the winning-est club in the parade...arrives at City Hall at about 9:30 am
