Courses I teach
I personally concentrate on three important aspects of paralegal training: ethics, research, and ADR (I particularly enjoy mediation). My elective course area is Family Law. In the Intro. course, we examine legal ethics, personal ethics, and professional development. We provide an introduction to the law, and work to develop the skills necessary for interviewing clients or witnesses in the preparation for litigation or settlement. Research is my great love, and I teach both "library" skills (basic research and citation) and Computer Assisted Legal Rearch (Internet, CD-ROM, LEXIS and Westlaw).
