SETUP
Create nests of same color pieces and place them on the chessboard in the second "ring". (A nest is a 3pt piece on a 2pt piece on a 1pt piece) There is no special order in placing the pieces. Make it beautiful.
Choose a corner of the board. This will be OG. OG is where you start. Everyone places their selected pieces on OG.
Each player guesses a number then rolls a die. The player to guess their number goes first. Hint - Choose a number between 1 and 4. Then play continues clockwise around the table.

ON YOUR TURN
Roll both dice and move your token that many spaces clockwise around the 1st ring of the chessboard.

IF YOU LAND...

...next to a Nest, take the top piece of that Nest and place it in front of you. (This is your "money")
...on LIAJ, your turn ends and you miss your next turn.
...on OG OT LIAJ, your turn ends, you must return to LIAJ, and you miss your next two turns.
...on EERFGNIKRAP, You get all pieces placed in the center of the board.
...on OR pass OG, note the total of your dice. Take that many points of pieces from Nests on the board. If your roll is higher than the pieces left, take them all. If there are no more Nests, choose one opponent and take the points from them.
...next to an empty space where there once was a Nest, you start to build a Tree. (a 1pt piece on a 2pt piece on a 3pt piece of the same color). Place one of your 3pt pieces at an angle on the space. (It is placed at an angle so it is not mistaken as a Nest.)
....next to a Tree, place the next piece of the Tree on top. If you can't (or the Tree is completed) You must pay the owner the Trees value. Its value equals the total points on it. (either 3, 5, or 6) The owner is the person who has the highest point total of the Trees color in front of them. If there is a tie for the owner, put your payment in the center of the board. You pay with the pieces you have in front of you. Colors do not matter, only points. Change is not made. If you can't pay the entire amount, pay what you can but you are also out of the game.

DOUBLES
When you roll doubles you get to go again. No limit as long as you roll doubles.

WINNING
You win when you are the last player in the game.  :D

VARIATIONS
If you have more than 4 colors of Icehouse pieces, make some colors "more rare" on the board. As long as you have a total of 20 nests. I've played using all 8 colors using the following formula: two colors with 4 nests, two colors with 3 nests, two colors with 2 nests, and two colors with 1 nest. It proves to be very interesting while passing OG.
FAQ'S:
How do you determine what to pay the "rent" with? :
You pay with the pieces that you have in front of you.
You can use any combination of colors.
Change is not made so be exact if you can.

This is the result of my love for both Icehouse and Monopoly.
I've played it quite a few times and have found some interesting strategies. Please feel free to share yours with me.
