my art
Pamela's Art Gallery
This is a potpourri of work that I've produced over the
past fifteen years...most of them hang in various places in my home
or in my art studio/home office.  Please note that they are not all "originals" - the ones that I painted that are copies of other artists works are appropriately labeled as such.
Painted from a photo I took on vacation in Boothbay, Maine
Painted from another vacation photo - this time in Cape Cod.
Old covered bridge, based on a photo I took - added a surreal touch when I painted it - my idea of what the bridge in my book "Mystery of David's Bridge" might look like.   UPDATE!!  This painting was chosen as the cover art for Kudzu Monthly's March, 2003 issue - I am so pleased!
Giving credit where it is due!!  This is a copy of an Edward Hopper lighthouse painting that I did....nowhere near as wonderful as HIS rendition, but good enough to have occupied the space over the fireplace mantle in our previous house!!
Another copy - this time an Eric Sloane painting.  This is hung on my studio wall....I often gaze at it and wish I was sitting in the rocking chair on that front porch looking out over the lake.....This was one of my first attempts at oils and was painted in 1987.
A still life.....I set this up in my studio using my mother's old English china which she had kept boxed up in a closet - and I didn't know existed until after she died and we were going through her things.  The delicacy of the rose pattern is lost in this "computerized replica" here, as is the lacy edge of the tablecloth and napkin upon which the china sits.....oh well - you get the idea!
