·       Project Manager for the software improvement plans that resulted in external assessments at CMM Level 2 of four geographically dispersed sites, and the continuation toward CMM Level 3

·       Established 163 organizational process assets to address various business risks, resulting in the highest rating possible from corporate auditors, doubling the number of projects delivered per year, and maintaining the low cost provider position in the industry, while raising customer satisfaction; results were attained in spite of an acquisition that doubled the technical staff to 1000 and added a new site

·       Established an organizational process for System and User Acceptance Testing, based on international standards, which allowed the establishment of repeatable test progress measurements

·       Established a default organizational configuration management plan, based on international standards, including project change control, defect tracking, emergency change, and release approval, which referenced documented processes, identified common variations, and defined tailoring for mainframe, client-server, data warehouse, image processing, and e-commerce development and maintenance

·       Consolidated approximately 660 individual, site, and group assets from more than 32 libraries and directories into a single organizational process asset library (PAL) under configuration management, which can be accessed electronically from all sites

·       Conducted internal project-based Software Process Audits (SPA), a two-day project assessment against Capability Maturity Model (CMM) including interviews and evaluations of compliance “evidence,” for the entire division, which eventually led to the achievement of CMM Level 5

·       Participated in Software Process [self] Assessment (SPA) and Software Capability Evaluation (SCE) preparation based on SW-CMM 1.0 and 1.1

1987-1990 EVB Software Engineering (EVB), Frederick, MD

A 15-person, private, employee owned software engineering consulting and training firm specializing in Ada and reuse technologies, which pioneered object-oriented software development methods. Techniques were also applied to SmallTalk, C++, Ada95, and other object-based languages.
