ANIMALS ARE WORTH SAVING
YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN
To help wildlife on a global scale, contact The World Wildlife Fund, Ecology Fund, or Green Peace web sites.Their links are at the bottom of this page.
To help domestic animals, the P.E.T.A. and A.S.P.C.A. web sites are a great place for information.Using their action alert programs, you CAN make a difference !
OUR HOME AND WOODS
We currently take care of nine cats, seven guinea pigs, three rabbits, and three ferrets inside our home. In our woods we have more than a dozen raccoons, some deer, possums, a fox, and various species of birds.
All the wooded areas surrounding us have been turned into subdivisions, but ours shall remain a refuge for animals in need.
If you have a pet in need of a home, think twice before taking it to the Humane Society. It is a death sentence seventy percent of the time.
Please go to my pets page and click on the banners to help you find No- Kill shelters in your area.
For those of you that hunt for sport, or for trophies, please remember next time you're out... animals feel pain... they feel fear...they should be photographed, not killed.
Leave the legacy of life for future generations, not the blood of slaughtered animals.
An animal in the wild is a beautiful sight to behold. Raising their young, living as nature intended.Only wanting to survive.
Let future generations see the splendor of this miracle in all its glory, not the trophy on the wall which symbolizes only our ignorance and vanity.
Beauty In Their Eyes

The only spirit pure and true, where innocence abounds
is one brought forth of nature's womb, conceived on hallowed ground
The forests and the woodlands, the ocean depths unseen,
are temples to this miracle and Mother Nature's dream
No greed nor hatred plight their souls as time has always shown
desiring only to survive in peace within their home
Yet man has tread upon this ground and left behind his wrath
A legacy of slaughtered souls to mark his bloodstained path
The beauty once within the eyes, of animals so dear
has all too often darkened, replaced with only fear
So cast aside your ignorance, and open up your heart,
be one with nature's endless joy
and let the animals be a part
