Our Beginning
Kaskia Shelties is currently home to 10 Shelties. We have all colors of Shelties although most are Sables. Our "furkids" range in age from 2 - 16 years. We are located on 2.5 acres on a hill overlooking the Little Conewago Creek in South-central PA. The dogs are all house dogs, although we do have a puppy run for nice days. Most of the dogs have now achieved "senior status" and are retired from the show ring. We show in confirmation and occasionally obedience. We have also "dabbled" in Herding and Agility events as well. We do occasionally have puppies available, and believe in the careful health screening of the prospective parents before they are bred. All our companion puppies are required to be spayed/neutered.

Our Foundation
The pastel portrait shown above was drawn by artist Terry Rowe, and features our three foundation dogs. The Sable was "Tobi", Sunebank Trouble In Paradise, H.C., C.G.C.. The Bi-Black was "Michael", BIS Can. Ch. Kaskia Man In The Mirror, C.G.C., US Pts. And the Blue Merle was "Mandee", Am/Can.Ch. Sunebank Winter Masquerade C.D., C.G.C. These dogs were very special to us and are greatly missed. They all have established their permanent place in our hearts and our history.
