A Bit Of Clever Beast History

Casey was our first Cesky. He came to us from Canada in 1998, soon after  we lost our beloved 11 1/2  year old Cocker Spaniel, "Corky". Little did we know that our home would soon be filled with rare breed Cesky Terriers. It is our goal to show the Cesky as a "Total Dog", capable of doing what it was bred for and more!
Myrtle Reed (Clair's great aunt) wrote the children's book "The Book of Clever Beasts" in 1904. When we were choosing a name for our website and possibly our future kennel we felt "Clever Beast" was very fitting of
our curious and active terriers.  They have always amazed us with their very clever actions and clownish personalities.

Life In Our Cesky Home
Our boys, Casey & Clipper are both involved in Obedience and Earthdog trials.  Chloe left the show ring with her UKC Championship. She did not enjoy the conformation ring as we hoped she would. She proved to be a wonderful mother with her first litter born on Sept. 22, 2005.

Each of our dogs has found a spot to shine! Casey as our athlete, Clipper as our hunter, and Chloe as our show girl & mom. All three of them are enjoying living in Tennessee.  They have two acres to explore around their new home.
