i use paintshop pro from www.jasc.com. this
program can be downloaded from aol at keyword 'graphics'. tutorials and classes are
available on aol at keyword 'online classroom'. it is a really great graphics editor, easy
to learn
i use a combination of notepad and frontpage98. however, i would recommend for
those starting out publishing web pages on aol to use aolpress 2.0 which is free, and can
be downloaded at keyword 'aolpress'. there are also tutorials and classes on aolpress at
keyword 'online classroom'
i set three criteria for my site..first i wanted it to be simple..next i wanted
an elegant look...third i wanted great graphics. my husband wrote an excellent guide for
creating and publishing web sites you can view it here at members.aol.com/anoblemind/hometown.htm
i followed his suggestions.
its hard to say for sure but i worked on it an hour or two each day for about 5
days. i would guess about 10 hours in all. creating the graphics is the most time
consuming but i work really fast...
for publishing pages on hometown aol i would suggest to someone who does not
know anything about html is to go ahead and publish a home page using personal publisher
at keyword pp3. then i recommend they download aolpress 2.0 at keyword 'aolpress',
download paintshop pro 5.0 at keyword 'graphics'. aol has offers excellent tutorials and
classes on both these programs at keyword 'online classroom'. these two programs are easy
to learn and will offer a lot more flexibility in creating your web pages.
