Color me painter...This bike has now been through three paint jobs. The first was black, very very black and that's why it was called"Blacky." Then because the tank was bad and it bubbled the paint from underneath, I replaced the tank with a new one from Ebay. That's when I decided to try my first flame job. It was base coated silver with blue flames with purple tips and drop shadows. A LOT of work went into that paint job but in the end I wasn't happy with it. It looked good from 10 feet away. I suppose a good pinstriper could have fixed it but I didn't have the couple hundred bucks for that, so..... I sanded it all off AGAIN!!! Then I put a bunch of colors I had together and came up with this purple. I put about a hundred little flame licks on top of the purple with morano pearl and it looked beutiful. I was going for a ghost flame technique I had seen, but when I shot the 10 coats of clear they sort of dissapeared. Still looks great though. It just looks like purple pearl. Then I pulled everything apart and painted the frame, polished all the covers, painted the front forks,brakes, wheels etc,etc. Put short shocks from my Sporty, adapted the later model carbs, made the supertrap exhaust and called it done. It's a good runner and now it's up for sale. First 2500.00 gets it. I may do some graphics and have the seat done then it will be 3000.00. So there Ya go there
