Locie Gay Cottrell, born September 22, 1906, was the daughter of William Thomas and Eda Jane Cottrell. She died February 17, 1936 and is buried in the Metz Cemetery at Upper Nicut, Calhoun County, West Virginia.
Festus Metz was born in Calhoun County, the son of William Franklin Metz.
They were married January 16, 1921 at her residence in Calhoun County by C. P. Piddee.
