This is the start of the 11th season for the club. It’s nice to see the club still going
strong.
As a former Raider parent, I can tell you that Pop
Warner is a great experience for the kids and for parents. I’ll never forget the 1996 and 1997
championship football runs with my son’s team. Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since that championship. It’s a feat that’s still not been repeated
by a Jersey Shore team. The successful
cheer competitions with my daughter are another lasting memory. Pop Warner and Rocket-mania all star
cheerleading were great. Give the
Raiders a try if you’re in the Toms River HS South school district. I think they are called the Toms River South Raiders
now.

Club History And Achievements – 1996-1999
The Raiders organization was formed and joined the Jersey Shore Pop
Warner Football League in 1996. In it’s
short history, the club has already enjoyed tremendous success in both football
and cheerleading, including a National Football Championship in our inaugural
season!
1996
Jr. Pee Wee Football National Champions! A season we will never forget! Common expressions included:
"D-FENSE, D-FENSE!", "Road Trip!", "Can you believe
this?!", Coach Jack's famous "Are you kidding me or what!", Bob
and Charlie's "We're goin' to Disney World!" dance. This was the FIRST and is still the ONLY football National
Championship from the Jersey Shore!
1996 Pee Wee Cheer, 3rd place, Mid-Atlantic Region - just missed a trip
to Nationals!
1996 Jr. Midget Football, Jersey Shore A South Division winners
1997 Pee Wee Football, Mid-Atlantic
Region Runner-ups - a great run continued from
1996, falling just a little short in the Regional Championship game! - just
missed another trip to Nationals! Still got one road trip in there though! The
team wound up A South Division, South Conference, and NJ State champions as
well as Mid-Atlantic Regional Runner-ups!
1997 Midget Football, 3rd place in the A South division and
in it 'til the end!
1997 Jr. Pee Wee Cheer - made into the second round of local
competition and placed 3rd. Good job ladies!
1998 Jr. Midget Football, 2nd place in Jersey Shore. Great
job guys!
1999 Our Midget Cheer Squad Placed 3rd in Small
Varsity at Nationals! Great job ladies!
Our Jr. Midget and Jr. Pee Wee Football Teams placed 8th and 10th
respectively in the NATION for scholastic achievement! Congratulations men!
1999 was my last year of involvement with the
club. The first 4 seasons of it’s existence.
