On 24 and 25 September 2005 took place at most beautiful sunshine and pleasant temperatures the national Swiss Pony Show of the SVPK in Burgdorf. The section Pottok Pony was represented with eight animals. Framed of the wonderful surroundings of a nature cliff, castle, a considered timber bridge and brooks the meeting on the large place before the indoor riding arena was accomplished.

Five Pottok mares had come, four of than began together to the judge.
All five mares were already judged for the breed in France. In Switzerland Huppe de la Nive was judged before two years in Bern and the other four this year in Burgdorf by the SVPK.

The 14 years old black and white Pottok mare Eztitxu de la Nive reserved the first seat.
She is bred the daughter of the stallion Amour Sonnenberg and the mare Tina, by Armand Halty in Biarritz/France. It is in possession of Petra Huber in Oberhasli/Switzerland. She was imported 1998 into Switzerland. Her stick measure amounts to 134 cm. Roi is her third foal.

The second place went to the 10 year old Pottok mare Huppe de la Nive.
She was imported 1998 into Switzerland. Ronja is already her fourth foal, which was born in Switzerland.

Sagua brought already eight foals to the world, from which some were very successfully in the sport run.

The Pottok mare Maitel had come with her colt Roches-Aramis. As the only Mountain-Pottok Maitel did not run together with the others in the judge ring. She was, however, later individually evaluated.

In the first shot, the three Pottok foals of the year 2005 began to the Judge.
With the foals there were exceptionally two second places. Ronja and Roches-Aramis divided the second place.
Swiss Pottok foals receive their names with an initial letter, to that to the birth year is attached. 2005 it is the letter R. The three self-coloured foals are called therefore: Roi , Roches-Aramis and Ronja.

The first place went at Roi,
the youngest Pottok foal, whose mother Eztitxu de la Nive had likewise occupied the first place. His father is the stallion Queribus. Roi saw to 12.05.2005 the light of the world. He was bred and is in possession of Petra Huber in Oberhasli/Switzerland.

The oldest Pottok foal Roches-Aramis divided the second place,
that the whole judge accepted calmly. His father is the stallion Urkila, his mother the mare Maitel. He was born to 04.04.2005 in Switzerland. He originates from the breed from Edith Felder, Münster/Switzerland. Roches Aramis is in possession of Yvonne Venetz in Münster/Switzerland.

The filly Ronja
divided the second place.
She is the filly of the Pottok mare Huppe de la Nive and the Swiss breeding stallion Hydravion. Ronja came to 08.04.2005 into the world. She was bred and is in possession of Erika Christener in Flühli /Switzerland.

The black and white Mountain-Pottok mare Maitel was later announced to the judge and judged by the judges. She was imported 1998 directly by the bask mountains and completely roughly into Switzerland. It was basic and brought in February 1999 their first foal to the world. In the meantime she found a new homeland in the Wallis and could in castle village its second foal Roches-Aramis present.

In the mixed age group the 21 year old Pottok Pony mare Sagua began and reserved the fourth seat. Her fiery appearance does not suspect her age.

Thus the section Pottok Pony terminated its appearance on the national Pony breeding show in Burgdorf 2005.
Large thanks to all, which made themselves the trouble to come with their horses the show and present them there. We wish a good year and a seeing again on the show to all in the next year...
