The Shadow Dragon Saga:
At the start of this saga, we find our friends making a wish to restore all that's been done due to Super 17. Yet, instead of Shenron coming out comes a really evil blue dragon. He explains that he has no desire to grant wishs and then he separates into seven other dragons along with the balls and is scattered to different places. After that, Dende, Popo, King Kai, Kibito Kai, and Old Kai explain that with every wish the gang made, negative energy was created. Also, Old Kai said that if Bulma hadn't created the dragon radar, none of these problems would be happening. Then Bulma gets really mad and said that it was Goku's fault. Goku, taking the blame, has no choice but to defeat the seven dragons to restore the Earth before too much evil occurs and have the Earth blow up. Pan quietly follows along.
The first dragon Goku and Pan (and Giru) encounter is Haze Shenron. He explains that he was created when Upa from Dragon Ball wish his dad Bora back to life. He was the weakest of the dragons and he polluted the land around him. They all fought him, having the advantage, when they were waiting for him to transform. He said that he couldn't (a funny scene) but that he drained the energy around him. Then he knocks Goku and Pan (who nearly got eaten) into his polluted lake but in the end, a spring decontaminated it. Soon after, Goku kills him with a Kamehameha.
Second, the group encounters Rage Shenron, the dragon of electricity. Even though a whole episode was spent on this, there's not much to say. Basically, he was created during the Vegeta and Nappa Saga. Soon after, Goku turns Super Saiyan 4 after Pan nearly died. Then Rage gives a big knockback and both of them are in his clutches. But luckily enough, it starts to rain and Rage loses all of his power. He nearly tricks Pan into getting trapped, but then Goku blows him up.
Third, the gang meets Oceanus Shenron, or Princess Oto. It turns out that she was created form an embarassing wish that Oolong made for some underwear. She's the dragon of water and seemed to be impossible to attack. After Goku found her weak spot, they had a real fight. He kept getting attacked though so it was up to Pan to attack her from the top with her first Kamehameha. After her spinning attack goes down, Goku soon helps in and they defeat Oceanus. Now they have ragained the 6-star ball along with the 2-star and 5-star ball, all in normal condition. At the end of the episode, there was a scene about Pan going to teach a boy how to fly.
Fourth, the gang encounters a dragon that's an Earth digger, resembling a mole, liking to cause earthquakes. He likes to sing and learn that his name his Naturon Shenron. Goku and Pan see the 7-star ball on his head, but Naturon thought that was a secret. Anyway Naturon digs some holes toward a city, that Goku has to turn S.S. 4 to save. They learn that he was created from the wish that restored the people that Vegeta killed at the World Tournament under Babidi's control. Eventually, Naturon uses some shock attacks on Goku and Pan, but soon the attack backfires and Pan now has the 7-star ball, but it's still cracked and blue. Soon, the ball absorbs her and then a dragon that's much larger emerges. Goku learns that Naturon is a body shifter, after seeing a dead mole's body on the ground, and is now using Pan's body for protection. Naturon attacks Goku, with Goku only dodging trying not to hurt Pan. After Goku goes S.S. 4, Goku easily hits Naturon. Goku then uses a Kamehameha on Naturon to try to blow him up, in which Pan told him not to hold back. Surprisingly, the dragon didn't die, and goes on the rebound to Goku. Naturon then lets Pan stick out of his stomach and talk to Goku, saying that he "granted" Goku's wish of seeing Pan. Goku appeared to be KO'ed, but grabbed Pan and pulled her out from the dragon's body. The dragon then shrinks into a short brown whimp and tries to shift into a bird's body, but Goku stops him. The dragon laucnhes an attack at Goku, but he doesn't budge, and then Goku beats the heck out of him and kills him with a Kamehameha. The 7-star dragon ball then lands in Goku's hand in normal condition.
Fifth, Goku, Pan, and Giru encounter Nuova Shenron, who keeps the 4-star ball in his body unlike the others. He first appeared as a big ball that looked like the sun and fell from the sky. Pan tries to attacks him, but she gets KOed from him. Nouva explains that he got formed when King Piccolo in DB wished for full power. Nouva said to Goku that as soon as a statue fell down that Nuova attack, the fight would begin. After that, Goku and Nuova fight in various areas like in a building where Goku tried to hide and in and around a sewer. Goku uses energy attacks and Nuova uses the sun attack.
Meanwhile, an ice barrier forms around the spot where Giru is aiding the KOed Pan, and a blue Shenron named Eis throws Giru back.
Anyway, Nuova admits the sun gives him energy and then Goku uses a sloar falre, which knocks Nuova back. After that, Nuova breaks out of his red shell and emerges in his true brownish form. Goku goes S.S. 4 and gets ready to fight.
At the same time, Vegeta is about to fly off to fight, but Bulma hlods him back. Vegeta then trains and blows up the gravity room twice. During the most of the episode, Vegeta flashesback to memories of him and Goku; Vegeta starting out at the top and then Goku surpassing him. Then Bulma tells Vegeta that she made him a machine that could turn him into a S.S. 4 and maybe a S.S. 5!
Back to the main story, Goku and Nuova start to fight with energy attacks. Nuova has the advantage, but when Goku corners him, Nuova tells Goku to attack but doesn't saying he owes him for sparing Pan. While the fighting resumes, Nuova's bro Eis Shenron attacks Goku too. He then show both of them the Dragon Balls he stole from Pan. Eis then freezes Goku's hands, so then Goku fights with his legs, until Eis eventually freezes all of Goku's body. (All of this made Nuova mad because this is his fight and not Eis'). Then Eis tells Nuova to attack, but doesn't, so Eis attacks Nuova until Nuova uses an energy attack on Goku, but inly to unfreeze him. Goku then tells Nuova to give him 10 seconds (and later 5 seconds) to get rid of Eis so they can resume their fight. Then, Eis starts to freeze the city.
Eis then gives Goku five seconds for free attacks. After that, he uses Pan to make Goku more vulnerable, and it works. Goku still gets his moves in though. Nuova watches the whole thing, staying neutral. In one attack, Eis disappears using Nuova as a shield, and freezes Goku, but Goku escapes from the ice. Eis begs Goku not to kill him, but Eis pulls a cheap blinding attack. Then, Goku punches Eis in the gut, restoring the 3-star ball. Nuova then gives Goku some antidote for the blindness, but Syn Shenron knocks it out of his hand. When Syn starts attacking, Nuova protects Goku, and eventually dies, restoring the 4-star ball. Syn then tells Goku the dragons were created because of too much overwishing. When fighting, Syn has a major advantage, and Goku only gets one successful attack out of two. (At the same time, Pan wakes up to find the dragon balls missing).
Goku then regresses back to normal kid form. Syn drops goku to try to kill him from a ledge, but Goten saves him along with the help of Gohan, Trunks and Majuub. Hercule, Chi Chi, Videl, and Pan spiritually help. The Saiyans and Majuub help Goku power up by giving him energy, but Syn knocks the Saiyans out of the way. They then continue to help Goku, and Majuub protects Syn from attacking, but Syn tosses him out of the way, but Majuub still tries by strangling Syn. Syn then launches an energy attack at Majuub's face, so he's knocked out. Eventually, Goku goes from a monkey to S.S. 4 and easily dodges Syn's attacks. Goku uses a Kamehameha, but Syn lives and then eats the Dragon Balls to transform into Omega Shenron, now having the powers of all the dragons.
Omega then blasts everybody out of the way except for Goku. He then uses the powers of all the dragons on Goku, who is now too weak to fight, but suddenly regains his vision. Miraculously, Goku uses the Dragon Fist to smother Omega, but he reforms his body like Majin Buu and Rage Shenron. Goku then grabs omega and tries to bomb himself for a last rsort, but Vegeta comes and tells him not to. Bulma then arrives with a machine that launches waves at Vegeta that turn him into a giant monkey. Vegeta Monkey goes wild and starts blowing up the city, and as he grabs Goku and mutters "Kakarot," he regains control and transforms into S.S. 4. After both power up, Vegeta suggests that if they attack, they'll die, so they should then fuse. As Goku and Vegeta confirm their plan, Omega tries to stop them. However, he others try tops top Omega as Goku and Vegeta eventually do the fusion dance and trun into Gogeta. Now, Gogeta is much better than Omega. Omega tries to lauch a bomb at Gogeta, but Gogeta reflects it and turns the negative energy from it into positive energy, also removing the negative energy from Earth. Gogeta then uses the Big Band Kamehameha on Omega to restore all of the Dragon Balls except for the 1-star ball, but Syn eats all of the balls except for the 4-star ball, which Goku stopped him from eating. The ball is also a symbol for Goku's grandfather.
Omega then knocks back Goku and Vegeta, but Goku still protects the ball. Goku starts to eat the ball and chokes, but eventually consumes it. Omega then fights to get the ball back, and as Goku and Vegeta try the fusion again, they get stopped by Omega. Eventually, they try the fusion again but use an after image attack so it looks like there's many fusions. They don't succeed and blame each other. Omega lets them do it again for the fun of the fight, but after trying it, Goku regresses to kid form. Then, the 4 star ball appears on Goku's head. The ball then comes out of Goku's head and turns into Nuova Shenron. Nuova appears to be a bad guy, but helps Goku against Omega. Nuova then puts himself and Omega in a flame ball, but Omega transfers bodies to live, and then Omega cracks out of Nuova's body. (Old Kai explains that Omega's negative energy can easily decay surrounding planets.) Vegeta then soon regresses to normal.
Omega then knocks back Goku and Vegeta. He then launches a huge energy attack. The planet then starts to get negative energy, so Vegeta and eventually Gohan, Goten, and Trunks help fight Omega after Goku gets KOed from trying to deflect the attack. Goku then emerges from the hole made by the attack with a spirit bomb. The negative Earth energy goes away and Goku asks King Kai for help with getting more nergy from the universe. Many DBGT characters are shown giving energy. Goku then lauches the bomb and Omega Shenron is gone for good and the dragon balls are restored. But now, the mormal Shenron summons itself. Shenron explains that the overuse of the Dragon Balls led to the creation of the Shadow Dragons. He sya's he'll go away for a very long time, but goku makes a wish restoring everything hurt by evil. Goku then hops on Shenron and says bye. He stops by Roshi and has one last fight with Krillin. He also says bye to Piccolo in H.F.I.L. Then the Dragon Balls fade into Goku. |
In the future, Goku Jr. fights Vegeta Jr. in a World Tournament. An old Pan and Bulma Jr. watch. Pan sees her grandpa Goku watching the fight. And with that being said, so marks the end of Goku and the Dragon Ball story.
