Yunona Adoption - They lied!!!

Yunona Adoption - They lied!!!

Yunona's Nine Months of Lies!

We signed a contract with Yunona USA on 10-23-2003 and made our first payment for the adoption of Valentina from the Ukraine born 6-18-2002.

Photo listing is prohibited of children from the Ukraine.

They Lied!

Changes were made to Yunona and Ivan Jerdev the president of Yunona assured us in a private e-mail on 11-13-2003 that he was personally responsible for the adoption of our daughter Valentina.

They Lied!

Larissa Marobyan our case worker told us repeatedly that Irina Bogdanova our coordinator in the Ukraine said Valentina was still available for adoption.

They Lied!

Larissa Marobyan told us that Irina Bogdanova was going to visit the orphanage to get an update on Valentina. We never received an update.

They Lied!

Larissa Marobyan said Irina Bogdanova said our NAC appointment in the Ukraine would be at the end of May.

They Lied!

Then Larissa Marobyan said our appointment at the NAC would be the middle or end of June.

They Lied!

In June Larissa Marobyan told us once again that Valentina was still available for adoption.

They Lied!

Larissa Marobyan told us we had an appointment at the NAC July 12, 2004.

They Lied!

NAC Appointment and More Lies!

We finally received an NAC appointment for July 19, 2004. We spent our appointment going through books looking for Valentina's picture. It wasn't there. Valentina wasn't available for adoption. We don't know that Valentina ever was available for adoption.

They Lied!

We were then given a referral for a little girl named Marina that very obviously had medical problems. The director of the NAC said she had visited Marina and she was fine.

They Lied!

We were told if we traveled the 12 hour train ride to visit Marina and didn't like her, that we could visit with other children there that were available for adoption. We were not allowed to visit with any other children.

They Lied!

Yulia and Zhenya

Our second appointment at the NAC we found a 5 year old little girl named Yulia. We were then told that she had a 9 year old half brother named Zhenya that we would have to adopt with her. Even though they were in different orphanages and didn't even know each other.

They Lied!

Very concerned about how long everything was taking. Vladimir and Sergey came to us in person on 7-28-2004 and promised they would have all paper work and the adoption process done by 8-12-2004 for us to travel back home with the children.

They Lied!

After meeting both Zhenya and Yulia on 7-29-2004, we agreed to adopt them both together. Again we were told that all would be done by 8-12-2004.

They Lied!

Then we were told by phone from Olega in the States that we would not be done by 8-12-2004, that our court date would be on Aug. 12, 2004.

They Lied!

Then 8-3-2004 we had to hire a taxi to drive us with Yulia all the way back to Kiev for get POA for Sergey. Again we were told it was a new rule and Sergey didn't know to get it before we left Kiev. The taxi waited for us and we drove all the way back to Vinnitsa that same day. It was an obvious mistake on their part and a hugh lose of time for us.

They Lied!

Then we were told by Irina Bogdanova on 8-12-2004, that Oksana was at the NAC waiting for our paper work to be signed and they had told her it would be signed in 2 hours. Irina Bogdanova also said she had called the court and scheduled an appointment for the next day.

They Lied!

The night before what should have been our court date we received a call from Irina Bogdanova saying our paper work had not been signed at the NAC. Oksana had never been waiting at the NAC for our paper work.

They Lied!

Irina Bogdanova said she had never called the court and scheduled an appointment for the next day.

They Lied!

And now we were told that the NAC found out there were 2 more younger brothers and they wanted paper work done on them before they would sign our paper work.
At this point we had been there a month renting an apartment and had both children living with us.
We had already changed our travel dates 3 times based on their lies.
We could not stay there another month waiting for the new paper work on the 2 younger brothers.
We had 3 children back at home that still needed us and my husband had a job to get back to.

Yunona Lied and Broke our Hearts!

That night we had to make the hardest decision of our lives. We had to look in Zhenya and Yulia sweet inocent faces and tell them we couldn't adopt them. After they had been living with us and calling us Mama and Papa, we had to crush their little hearts.
Yunona never cared about the children! They only cared about getting their money!

They Lied! They broke hearts! They crushed dreams! They destroyed two inocent children's chance for a new life outside of the orphange!

As we were leaving our children behind crying on 8-13-2004. We were told they didn't know what to do with Yulia, her orphanage was away at camp. I said.... That's funny. We knew exactly what to do with her. We were going to adopt her, take her to America, give her a good life, send her to school, watch her walk down the aisle one day and give us grandchildren. We knew exactly what to do with her.

They Lied! "Yunona" Lied!

Yunona promised to refund our money if we didn't adopt Valentina.

They Lied! "YUNONA" LIED!!!
