Relient K?
Yep, they're an awesome rock band. Christian Rock if you will. There are four members. Matt Thiessan, lead singer and guitar, Brian Pittman, bass, Dave Douglas, drums, and Matt Hoopes, guitar. Now before you judge them just because their "Christian Rock," listen to one of their C.D.'s first. I'm positive you'll be blown away. "It's always a debate," Thiessan explains, "Are you a Christian band or Christians in a band? Call us whatever you want, we're not really into labels."

How They Came To Be
As an Ohio tennager, Matt Thiessan, joined up with freinds Brian Pittman and Matt Hoopes to start Relient K. They played in youth group for awhile and started writing songs under the influence of MXPX, Five Iron Frenzy, and Slick Shoes. Matt T, Brian, Matt H, and a drummer started touring in January of 1998. Dave came into the picture shortly after. Now, 3 awesome C.D.'s, a Christmas album, and a whole lot of EP's later, there's no stopping them.

Touring
They're always bringing music to the fans. Having gotten the chance to see them in concert earlier in February, I can say that it is definitely worth the 10 bucks or whatever you might have to pay for your concert. Here's the dates:
Go to the touring section on the Relient K official website. They have better information than I could ever give you, including costs, times, and driving directions. Hope to see you at one of them!
