About the Band
Sentenced is a Finnish heavy metal band that started with a black metal sound in 1990. Ville Laihiala joined around 1996 ,turning their sound to a more dark melodic metal .Their latest release was in 2000 with Crimson , they are now in studio recording a new CD for 2002. Ville has a beauitful voice , low yet very smooth ,almost tranquilizing . The over all sound has a almost Edgar Alan Poe feel . Very dark ,yet beauitful and enticing . The music is heavy but full of melody . Their timing is perfect . Definitely one of my new all time favorites, they tie Iced Earth and Warrior Soul for my # 1 all time favorite.
