Materials
3 ring notebook and pencil everyday
colored pencils or markers, scissors, glue at times
Requirements and Information
1. Life Science Notebook Page Notetaking at the beginning
of class.
2. Complete reading assignments. We
will use the Globe-Fearon science text Concepts and
Challenges in Life Science and the Prentice-Hall
science text Exploring Life Science.
3. Complete science activities, homework assignments, and
labs.
4. Evaluations Quizzes, test, and other activities will be used
to evaluate your performance.
Hands-on stations for evaluating process skills will be set up and used
individually by
students.
5. Extra Credit Extra credit is available in my
classroom. An extra credit assignment
will add one point to your average.
6. Grades Grades of notes, activities, labs,
and evaluations (tests, quizzes, etc.) will be averaged.
Evaluation grades and some assignments will be weighted. They will count more
than a
regular assignment.
93-100 A 83-88 B
73-78 C
63-68 D
90-92 A- 80-83 B-
70-73 C-
60-63 D-

Fail
Computer grade sheets will be sent home during the grading period.
7. Returned Work Graded work will be should go into your Science 3-Ring
Notebook.
8. Assignment Notebooks Assignments
notebooks are a great way to keep track of your
homework. Your assignment will be on the chalkboard.
9. Late Work: accepted only ONE day late. Minus 10 points.
Remember..it is your responsibility to turn in late or make up
work.
10. Band Students will be leaving my science class for band. Going
to band does not excuse you
from
the work that day. Turn in your work before you go to band.
