Hui 'O Kawano
My name is Dawn.  I am one of the decendents of a member of the Kawano family in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Our family originated from Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan.

Meetings/Family Gatherings
Once a quarter the women in the family try to get together.

It is now July 2003 and it's been quite a while since our last get together.

Traci now has four children, three boys and one girl!  We are just waiting for pictures to be sent from "warm and sunny" Connecticut.

LoriAnn is engaged to be married and it has been said that she will be exchanging vows in 2004.  Congratulations!

I have heard more good news from an undisclosed source, but I will patiently wait till I hear the news from the respective parties before I ruin any surprises.

Jeffrey Omori has finished his first year of college and is working within the UH system.  We are all so proud of Jeff and know that he will succeed in all his future endeavors.

We have also heard that Uncle Larry and Aunty Kay have a new great-grandchild.  Congratulations to the whole family.

We also wanted to introduce our newest addition.  Above is a picture of our "baby".  His name is Pappy and he is part Chihuahua and part Pappilion, hence his name.
Pappy is quite the brat, but let's just say that we are practicing parenting and it's best to make our mistakes now than later.

If anyone has any photograph(s) they would like to share with the rest of the family, please email your digital/scanned images to me.  Thank you!  :)

I really like Tupperware.  I like to support the local Hawaii industry and try to buy those items.  I like Melelucca (sp?).  I also like to play with the karaoke microphone; when possible.
