Murphy's World...a Cute Golden Retriever

All About Murphy

Murphy is our 1 year old male Golden Retriever. He weighs 93 pounds ( we know...BIG ) and is currently on a diet to lose a few pounds. His coat is dark by Golden Retriever standards, but we picked him from the litter of 11 because of this and his friendly nature. He has made our lives truly wonderful!

Murphy's Favorite Activities

Murphy loves to play with his older brother Chase, a Blue Merle Australian Shephard. They are best buddies. One of Murphy's favorite things to do is to see how many tennis balls he can fit in his mouth. He is currently up to three when he is having a good day. Murphy also loves to play with Wrigley, our little 7 pound cat. He gets down on his front legs with his butt in the air so he can look her in the eyes.

Funny Murphy Stories

My parents gave us a grill a few months ago that we placed on the back patio. The first time we let Murphy out to potty and play, he barked and ran from the grill. It took almost two weeks before he would get near it! My father also came over to help us move some things in the backyard the other day. He was wearing work gloves and Murphy barked at him and ran everytime my father showed Murphy his hands. He is definitely a big baby. He also still believes he is a "lap dog". He is known for crawling up in our laps when we are watching TV. Needless to say, your legs fall asleep very fast with 93 pounds of Golden Retriever on them!
