The website of good reasons for why you can be a Christian

WHY THIS IS NOT A RELIGIOUS WEB SITE

If by religious you mean following the rules of a specific religious institution, this is not a religious web-site at all.

This world is full of hustlers or are trying to sell us something or get us to join their club.  This web site will not try to get you to buy something or join a organization.  It is intended to offer you reasons for a way of living and being in this world.

This web site is not arguing for supremacy of any institutional denomination.  We are not interested in Christendom, we are interested in Christianity.  We are interested in experiencing God personally.  While  experiencing the Christian life involves scripture, spiritual practices and community (and communities naturally develop their own traditions and often build churches),   we not arguing for any specific rituals or traditions.  This is a site about Jesus, but not about specific institutions that are named after him.

People often say "well that's nice for you, but I am not a religious person".  Neither am I.  I am a Christian because I think it is the best explanation for what is true about the world, not because I am naturally into traditions, rituals, or "religion".  The question is not "are you religious", the question is "is there a God, and if so, what would that mean for your life ?"

WHAT IF CHRISTIANITY IS REAL ?

One of the greatest things about Christianity is that it is experienced as a community - a family of friends.  If you decide after working through this website that you do want to pursue Christianity, it can't all be done on your own, because some parts of it can only be experienced with other people.  But what you can explore here at this website are the intellectual reasons for Christianity.  If you conclude they are true, the next step will be to seek out a community of Christians that can help you grow.

When the claims of Christ are truly understood,  there are only two choices: To bend one's knee or take offence ...
