TO BE OR NOT BE, THAT IS THE QUESTION
Question
Will the people of Sodom be resurrected.
Let's go back in time to 1879. Let's also assume we are members of the Watchtower
Bible and Tract society (Jehovah's Witnesses)
At this time, the society claims that we cannot understand the Bible, no
matter how much we read it, without the society's help to understand it,1
It is a sealed book except to the society. 2
They said Jehovah caused the Bible to be written in such a way that you
need his human channel to understand it. 3
Now, 1879, and we are taught that the people of Sodom Will be resurrected.

Now do we believe this or not?
What happens if we disagree with the society, will we be kicked out, after
all the society says " Avoid independent thinking.... Questioning the
counsel that is provided by God's visible organization" What do we
do? So we stay meek and go along with then, so they let us stay in.
Now the date is 1952 and we are now taught that the people of Sodom Will
Not be resurrected. 5
Now do we believe this or not, after all we were taught for so many years
that they would be.
We thought that they would not be, but the society said otherwise so we
just agreed with them. After all, they said that they were Under Angelic
direction. 6
Ok so it's now 1965 and we are now taught that the people of Sodom Will
be resurrected. 7
Now do we believe this or not?
Well wait a minute didn't they say that they would not be resurrected, I
don't understand, I really don't know what to believe anymore. We are supposed
to be
"In the Truth!" 8
But wait, they said there an organization to direct the minds of God's people.
They must be right! 9
Now the date is 1988 and we are now taught that the people of Sodom Will
Not be resurrected. 10
Now do we believe this or not?
Now for 23 years we were taught that they would be resurrected and we believe
the society was always right.
They told me, Yet there are some who point out that the organization has
had to make adjustments before, and so they argue: " This shows that
we have to make up our own mind on what to believe. " This is independent
thinking. Why is it so dangerous? Such thinking is an evidence of pride."11
Ok so it's now still 1988 and now we are taught that the people of Sodom
Will be resurrected. 12
Now do we believe this or not?
Well my Insight book says they will be, but I am not sure.
Wow I once read that they said Christians cannot be wishy-washy, going back
to the same teachings they had rejected earlier. 13
Now the date is 1989 and we now are taught that the people of Sodom Will
Not be resurrected. 14
Now do we believe this or not?
Seems funny I remember looking at my 89 Live forever book and it said on
pg. 179 that they won't be resurrected, but I know that I read in the 82
ed. on the same pg. 179 it said that they would be resurrected, 15 It even
had the same pictures and everything except the words have been changed.
Weird.
Now, they ask me a question and I really need to think about it!
" Knowing these things, what will you do?
It is obvious that the true God, who is himself
"the God of truth" and who hates lies, will not look
with favor on persons who cling to organization
that teach falsehood. 16
And, really, would you want to be even associated with a religion that had
not been honest with you?
