WHEN PERSONAL TRUTH IS REVEALED -
HEALING HAPPENS!
Now I previously said that my problems began with my thoughts and frustration dealing with my sexuality and accepting myself. In other words, in the beginning, I was homophobic over myself! ( if that can happen)! Obviously, not all problems stem from the sexuality issue. This was solely "my" issue and mine alone. We all have our own "skeletons in the closet" - be it from Mental, Physical and/or Sexual Abuse, Drinking and/or Drug Addiction, Workaholic Syndrome, Marital Problems; Low Self-Esteem, Family Relationship Problems, Financial Problems, Depression, Disabilities, etc.
But...believe it or not, the biggest thing most of us have to "get over" to heal spiritually is the fact that the bad or negative opinions of others (especially anyone who BLATANTLY JUDGES and makes any other PERSON purposely feel bad) - is Not coming from a place of Love. Unconditional Love is what we, as humans, here on Earth should strive to give others. For when we do this, we will Receive. This is a guaranteed Spiritual Law.
It's our own thoughts and maybe certain people that may make you "feel" bad. When I realized this TRUTH I started to heal inside. (If you need "healing" maybe you will realize this truth too). Realizing this truth, I finally began to let god into my life and understand our relationship to God. When I let God into my life... I WAS HEALED! (No - my lifestyle hasn't magically changed because one cannot "Stop Being Gay"- lol) - what I mean is I finally felt FREE! That is, Free to be me because I realized the truth that God loves me just as he loves You and everyone around us! I started to realize God is not a person "up there" but His Spirit (and the spirit of who "I believe" to be his true son) is all around us and reflects all that is true, honest and good. Letting God into ones life requires a change in mindset and seeking out all that is spiritual and good. Not listening to other people; throwing out the negative thoughts and letting the "good" into your life and listening to your own heart and soul.
I finally started to realize (and now absolutely know - especially by my "spiritual experience") that God loves all of us. We are all equal. God doesn't pick and choose. He doesn't set out to make one of us better than another. Each of us has a gift to bring to this world - each has the gift of giving... God just loves and wants us to love each other and ourselves. (By the way, I am in a wonderful relationship with my life partner, MG, and we definitely acknowledge God in our lives... so I believe God to have blessed our relationship because I couldn't be more happy and thankful - Thanks to God) :)...
ANYWAY...please don't think I am preaching about GOD because I'm not... just telling you MY TRUTH....and what I found to be true... about Life and God... and what it's like to be Free! (Also drug free and not drinking away my sorrows either - I can still have a drink now but realize that Life is wonderful)! Another truth I learned is You do not have to drink or party to extreme to Hide from LIFE or Yourself or to Have Fun or be Liked by Others!
One of the first steps in healing is to begin to place your trust in God. When you are placing all thoughts into your problems, you are a servant to all that is defeating your spirit. Example: "Life Sucks"... what would happen if you thought instead that "Life is Wonderful" - which "thought" can harm you? What do you feel as you say each phrase? Why serve "Bad" thoughts when the "Good" ones can bring so much joy. I'm not talking about over-indulgence in physical things on earth as being "good" either, because although one may have "material" riches, they may only be temporary and bring temporary joy (You can't bring them to heaven with you either)!
Anything you perceive as bad, evil, sinful, harmful, is taking away from your spiritual link with God and all the good that He offers us. Why would one choose to continue LIFE feeling bad, feeling like we are living in Hell, as opposed to feeling good, and feeling like we are almost in Heaven now? It's when YOU decide to become a servant to God that you will find Unconditional Love as you will discover that God loves all His Children on Earth equally and without "strings attached." His goodness and all that He creates is good!
