Welcome Joy Light Poetry Series Poems From Spirit (Please view page at full screen) In The Days That Followed As my visitors in the night Watch over the site Where their spirit came to rest, I hear them talk among themselves, Describing the anticipation As workers near the location Where their silent body lay, In the rubble, beneath the steel, Among the dead they said. At times they are quiet, Just watching, waiting Wondering how strange it is To be without form. Unsure of where they are to go, What it is they are suppose to be doing, Then realizing they are there to guide The recovery. I hear them give instruction On how best to lift a beam, Or angle mangled steel shreads Such that what is beneath it Does not become twisted More than it already is. Patience, they give patience As they help those who labor Gain strength enough to carry on. They gather in excitement As the workers near a discovery, And I hear whispers As all gather round To pay their respects, Those in spirit, to those still here, And those still here, to those in spirit And they unite together in prayer. Joy Light Poetry Series Poems From Spirit (Please view page at full screen)
In The Days That Followed
As my visitors in the night
Watch over the site
Where their spirit came to rest,
I hear them talk among themselves,
Describing the anticipation
As workers near the location
Where their silent body lay,
In the rubble, beneath the steel,
Among the dead they said.
At times they are quiet,
Just watching, waiting
Wondering how strange it is
To be without form.
Unsure of where they are to go,
What it is they are suppose to be doing,
Then realizing they are there to guide
The recovery.
I hear them give instruction
On how best to lift a beam,
Or angle mangled steel shreads
Such that what is beneath it
Does not become twisted
More than it already is.
Patience, they give patience
As they help those who labor
Gain strength enough to carry on.
They gather in excitement
As the workers near a discovery,
And I hear whispers
As all gather round
To pay their respects,
Those in spirit, to those still here,
And those still here, to those in spirit
And they unite together in prayer.
