Linda
Morelli is the author of FIERY SURRENDER, a historical
romance, SHADOW OF DOUBT, her award-winning
romantic suspense, and LANI'S CHALLENGE, published
by Port Town Publishing.
Her
short stories have been published
in Port Town's anthologies, by New Age Dimensions, and
by Fictionwise.
Linda's books have received critical
acclaim. SHADOW OF DOUBT received five-stars from About.com’s Romance Fiction
Guide, Melissa Alvarez, and was #1 in romantic suspense at About.com for over
18 months. It was a winner in the 2003 Write Touch Readers’ Awards and the
Laurel Wreath Awards; and won second place in the best long contemporary
category in Affaire de Coeur’s 2004 Reader/Writer Poll. Wilma Frana with Word Museum, said of LANI'S CHALLENGE: “I
fully recommend this book to everyone as a 'must read'” and gave it a rating of
5 Flames – calling it a “collector's treasure.”
A
member of Romance Writers of America (RWA) and the Washington,
DC
Chapter of RWA, Washington Romance Writers (WRW),
Linda has served the local chapter as Vice President
and has chaired various WRW committees, in addition
to serving as the chapter's webmistress for over two
years. She has judged numerous national and
regional writing contests, and is a permanent judge
in RWA's annual Golden Heart Contest. She has
also participated in discussion panels for various local libraries
and organizations regarding every aspect of writing,
especially romance novels.
Linda's other memberships include,
among others,
Author's Coalition, World
Romance Writers, NUW (Not the Usual Way) Authors Community
and other online
author/writers' groups, as well as the Bethesda Writer's
Center. She is a reviewer
for My Shelf Reviews and the Historical
Editor for Gotta Write Network Online. Linda was an “On The Cover” feature story in the
April 2006 issue of Lady Ingenuity’s online magazine.
Linda
has been a professional artist (and designs her own
book covers), creative writer/editor,
and a direct mail fundraiser. When she's
not working as a part-time consultant and
full-time mother, she writes novels, preferring
romantic tales of passion and intrigue. She is
currently writing her fourth novel.
Linda
lives in Maryland with her husband of twenty-six years
and their two youngest children.
