Well, they are Robert, Leslie and Melanie du Mont. All of which hail from the Alabama Gulf Coast.
Robert du Mont and Leslie Yoder...
Rob du Mont and Leslie Yoder both went to high schools in Lower Alabama (aka LA or the Redneck Riviera.) One went to private school. One did not. One was validictorian. One was not. One went to the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, got a BS in EE, was a member of Phi Beta Sigma, won the Karl Montor Leadership award and considered duty, honor and country one and the same. One went to Wesleyan College, was a Student Admissions Rep., chosen as a Lowly Rat for Rat Week and then attended the University of South Alabama, pledged Kappa Delta and hung out with the Rugby team and at the Yacht Club. Blah, blah, blah. The main point of this story is that, as opposites sometimes do, Leslie Yoder of Daphne and Robert Dumont from Gulf Shores met and fell in LOVE!

After way too many flight between AL and Annapolis, Rob's two remaining years at the Academy had gone by. Rob du Mont and Leslie Yoder got married, packed up the BMW, and headed off to Idaho for Rob's nuclear power training. Since then they've lived in over 11 different duty stations and have even lived in some of the places three times now! Leslie's count is that they are on their 15th PCS move now. Try being stationed in Pensacola, Orlando, Idaho, Coronado, Newport, Jacksonville, Pascagoula, Newport News, Monterey, Newport (again), Seattle, Norfolk, Newport (third time) and then on to Pascagoula (again) and now Charleston, SC. I think we've forgotten one or two moves in that list, but you get the point!

Somehow Leslie Yoder du Mont has found time to do more than just unpack the boxes from their many moves while helping Rob with his busy thankless career. She has served on OWC/OSC boards, organized Wine Tastings for 500, written and published a Cookbook and has thrown some successful Charity Auctions. Leslie is also proud to have served on the Vestry of Saint Paul's Episocpal Church in Norfolk, Va. Leslie REALLY looks forward to Rob's retirement and moving back to the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. Point Clear is waiting and it is a long time coming!
Her latest venture was to take her love of photography and embrace it by opening the doors of Leslie du Mont Photography. Leslie specializes in studio portrait photography in the Charleston SC Lowcountry area. Please visit Leslie du Mont Photography.com

Along the way Leslie and Rob have picked up an extra dependent! (That is Navy lingo for they had a child! And, no, they didn't just pick her up. She was born in Mobile, Alabama.) Her name is Melanie. Melanie is a straight A student who recently joined the Duke University TIPS gifted program. Although a native Mobilian, Melanie has enjoyed the Navy lifestyle to its fullest with friends on both sides of the globe and scattered everywhere in between! She is a VERY adaptable child that makes friends easily. Thank goodness! She has now attended school in 6 states in as many years and manages to pull off A's AND have a slew of friends at each new place! We are truly blessed! Melanie attends the wonderful Ashley Hall school for girls in downtown Charleston. Click here to go to Ashley Hall
