About Our Club

Warrington Model Club is a model club located close to the centre of Warrington. The club chiefly concentrates on radio control model flying and all aspects of R/C flying are encouraged. The club is affiliated to the BMFA and typically has 100-120 members. The aims of the club are to promote the safe enjoyment of model flying in the Warrington area.

The club operates a well maintained grass flying strip adjacent to the River Mersey at Gatewarth Farm, Sankey Bridges. Beginners to the hobby are encouraged and flying instruction is available from volunteer club instructors, using the BMFA "Up and Away" scheme

If you are interested in model flying in the Warrington area please do come along for a chat to a club meeting or contact the club Membership Secretary by email at leccyflyer@aol.com for further details.

All applications for membership are considered by the club committee at their monthly committee meetings.

Club Meetings

Club meetings are held every Tuesday evening between 8:00-11:00pm at Penketh Sports and Social Club, Warrington Road, Penketh and prospective members are welcome to attend.
