                              Open SSC Kits

SMACK 2  -------   is simple but deadly SSC killer.

Like the original Smack, the Smack2 is easy to build and fly, but can be setup to turn and burn with the best. It also retains the "hands off" stability and quick recovery that made the original such a deadly tool.

The Smack 2 has been updated for strength, simplicity and durability. The S2 has an HDPE motor mount pod which can also house the throtle servo and a standard tank if desired, a high-strength plastic "fencepost" fuselage, and the most simple tail feather attachment possible. These features have turned the S2 into a truly "modular" design which makes it a natural for those "between the heats" repairs that come up.
And because there is NO Gluing or Fuelproofing nessesary, the fuselage/tailfeathers assembly is basicly an ARF setup, and takes only a few minutes to assemble.

The wing has been upgraded with stronger spars and a New, stronger  wing mounting system. The new "tounge" design locks the wing in place, while still retaining the "shock absorbing" feature of the original. The  rubberband wrap which holds the rear of the tounge in place has been redesigned so that it is impossible for the rubberbands to slip off. For more details on the wing construction see Texascombat.com in the workshop section.

With the new features, the occasional cracked fuselage and VERY RARE lawn dart of the original Smack are now HISTORY. The S2 will be in the air as long as the prop keeps spinning. They don`t give out points for "ground time".

                         SSC  Warbirds Kits

     P-40,    P-39,    P-51B ,   P-51D,    ME-109,    FW-190,    KI-61,    Hurricane

These are the most popular warbird types so far. If there is enough intrest in another model, more could be added. They make clean SSC ships which, are faster in a dive than the "dirty" open style SSCs. The warbird "crutch" construction    which was experimental only a year ago, is now a widely accepted fuselage construction method, which has been proven in hundreds of combat heats during the 2003 season.
The construction of the warbird wing is identical to the Smack, except with the
addition of dihedral, if desired, for a more scale-like look.
The fuse has been upgraded with a longer crutch  to eliminate stress points in the wing area. That, combined with eliminating the need for cut outs in the fuselage to clear the aileron servo and pushrods, creates a much tougher fuselage.
With the RX and antenna mounted in the wing, there are only two servo leads to plug in when mountion the wing. And the wing is attached with the same shock-absorbing method that proved so effective in the 2003 season.
