Moon is My Mad, Mad Sister

I am meadow light,
moon is my mad, mad sister,
thunder’s lance, my sizzling brother,
and a cousin may calibrate candles to gauge
the gusty blizzards of the sun.
Clarity and shine glow in my linage!
For I am blood with gravings
that brighten the Word.

But the quick-eyed lynx may also be kin,
and also another who lets only obscurity through.
O, if only this clan were cognate or pun
with the opulent dynasty of lucre!

One pun hatched by this radiant brood
is the name that names me,
hidden in the wind-cast shadow of a canvas
that harnesses the weathery tides of the sun!

I am Lee.
