Dear Def Leppard Fans,

Thank you to all who have expressed interest in Def Leppard. We thought it might be helpful to let everyone know what the band is currently doing. Joe Elliott and Rick Savage just traveled from Dublin, Ireland to meet Phil Collen, Rick Allen and Vivian Campbell in Los Angeles to do some writing for a new album scheduled for a 1998 release. They are all in great form, and are very much looking forward to getting right into the studio to record.

On a personal note, drummer Rick Allen and his wife Stacy just celebrated the birth of their first child, Lauren Shane in May.
