You can use brown for the flower center and yellow for the petals to make this into a sunflower set.
Towel Ring
Materials: Worsted weight cotton (color A = flower center, color B = petals) Two 2 lucite rings Button to match color C Yarn needle Crochet hook size G
Using color A, ch 5, join with a sl st to form ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 14 more dc in ring; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (15 dc)
Round 2: Place one lucite ring on top of the other. Ch 1, insert hook in same st as joining AND through both lucite rings then complete sc, insert hook in the same st and through both lucite rings and complete sc, (insert hook in the next dc and through both lucite rings and complete sc, insert hook in the same st and through both lucite rings and complete sc) 6 times; (insert hook in the next dc and through the top lucite ring only and complete sc, insert hook in the same st and through the top lucite ring only and complete sc) 7 times; join with a sl st to the first sc. (30 sc) Fasten off color A. (Note: This round will leave half of the bottom lucite ring unworked. See back detail illustration.)
Round 3: Join color B with a sl st in any sc on round 2, ch 5, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, sc in the next ch, *sl st in the next sc on round 2, ch 5, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, sc in the next ch.* Repeat from * to * around; join with a sl st to the first sl st. Fasten off color B.
Hanger Note: To work sc dec: (Insert hook in next st and pull up a loop) 2 times; yo and pull through all 3 remaining loops on hook. Ch 31 Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch across; ch 1, turn
Row 2: Sc in each of the next 29 sc, 2 sc in the last sc; ch 1, turn.
Row 3: 2 sc in the first st, ch 3, skip next 3 sc, sc in each of the next 27 sc; ch 1, turn.
Row 4: Sc in each of the next 27 sc, sc in each of the 3 chs, sc dec over the next 2 scs; ch 1, turn.
Row 5: Sc dec over the first 2 sts, sc in each of the next 29 sc. Fasten off, leaving a 12 tail for sewing.
Finishing Thread yarn needle with yarn tail on hanger; sew securely to the top of the towel ring. (See back detail illustration) Sew button to the back of the hanger, just above the ring.
Coaster
Materials: Worsted weight cotton (color A = flower center, color B = petals) Crochet hook size G
Using color A, ch 5, join with a sl st to form ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 14 more dc in ring; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (15 dc)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 hdc in each dc around; join with a sl st to the first hdc. (30 hdc) Fasten off color A.
Round 3: Join color B with a sl st in any hdc on round 2, ch 5, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, sc in the next ch, *sl st in the next hdc on round 2, ch 5, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, sc in the next ch.* Repeat from * to * around; join with a sl st to the first sl st. Fasten off color B.
Napkin Ring
Materials: Worsted weight cotton (color A = flower center, color B = petals) 2 lucite ring Crochet hook size G
Round 1: With color A, work 30 sc around lucite ring. Fasten off color A.
Round 2: Join color B with a sl st in any sc on round 2, ch 5, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, sc in the next ch, *sl st in the next sc on round 2, ch 5, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, sc in the next ch.* Repeat from * to * around; join with a sl st to the first sl st. Fasten off color B.
Dishcloth
Materials: Worsted weight cotton (color A = flower center, color B = petals) Crochet hook size H
With color A, ch 4; join with a sl st to form ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 11 more dc in the ring; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (12 dc)
Round 2: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, dc in the same st, work 2 dc in each remaining dc around; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (24 dc)
Round 3: Repeat round 2. (48 dc) Fasten off color A.
Round 4: Join color B with a sl st in any dc, ch 3 to count as the first dc, dc in the same st, ch 1, skip next 3 dc, (3 dc in the next dc, ch 1, skip next 3 dc) 11 times, dc in the same st as beginning dc; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3.
Round 5: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, 2 dc in the next dc, ch 1, (2 dc in the next dc, dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next dc, ch 1) 11 times, 2 dc in the next dc; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3.
Round 6: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, dc in each of the next 2 dc, ch 2, (dc in each of the next 5 dc, ch 2) 11 times, dc in each of the next 2 dc; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3.
Round 7: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, (yo, insert hook in the next st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through 2 loops) ) 2 times, yo and pull through all 3 remaining loops on hook (dc dec made), ch 2, dc in the next ch 2 sp, ch 2, *dc dec over the next 2 dc, dc in the next dc, dc dec over the next 2 dc, ch 2, dc in the next ch 2 sp, ch 2* repeat from * to * 10 times, dc dec over the next 2 dc; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3.
Round 8: Sl st in the first st and into the next ch 2 sp, ch 5 to count as the first dc and the first ch 2, dc in the next ch 2 sp, ch 2 (yo, insert hook in the next st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through 2 loops) 3 times, yo and pull through all 4 remaining loops on hook (dc cluster made), ch 2, *(dc in the next ch 2 sp, ch 2) 2 times, dc cluster over the next 3 dc, ch 2* Repeat from * to * 10 times; join with a sl st to the trird ch of the beginning ch 5.
Round 9: Sl st into the next ch 2 sp, ch 1, sc in the same sp, ch 3, (dc in the next ch 2 sp, ch 3) around; join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Hot Pad
Materials: Worsted weight cotton (color A = flower center, color B = petals) Crochet hook size G
Make 2 - With color A, ch 4; join with a sl st to form ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 11 more dc in the ring; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (12 dc)
Round 2: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, dc in the same st, work 2 dc in each remaining dc around; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (24 dc)
Round 3: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 2 dc in the next dc, (dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next dc) 11 times; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (36 dc)
Round 4: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, dc in the next dc, work 2 dc in the next dc, (dc in each of the next 2 dc, 2 dc in the next dc) 11 times; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (48 dc) Fasten off.
Round 5: With wrong sides together, sc through each st of both layers of the center circles to join (for double thickness); join with a sl st to the first sc. (48 sc) Fasten off color A.
Round 6: Join color B with a sc in any sc, (ch 8, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next ch, dc in each of the next 3 chs, hdc in the next ch, sc in the next ch, sc in the next sc on round 5) 48 times; join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Pot Holder
Materials: Worsted weight cotton (color A = flower center, color B = petals) Crochet hook size E
Work as for hot pad through round 6.
Round 7: Join color B with a sl st in the sc at the tip of any petal, ch 2, (sl st in the sc at the tip of the next petal, ch 2) around; ch 16, join with a sl st to the 15th ch from hook, sl st in each remaining ch; join with a sl st to the beginning sl st. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Fridgie
Materials: Worsted weight cotton (color A = flower center, color B = petals) Crochet hook size E Small magnet and glue.
With color A, ch 4, join with a sl st to form ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 11 more dc in the ring. Fasten off color A.
Round 2: Join color B with a sc in any dc, ch 4, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, dc in the next ch, sc in the next ch, (sc in the next dc on round 1, ch 4, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, dc in the next ch, sc in the next ch) around; join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Glue magnet to the back of round 1.
