This tree skirt coordinates with the

Quick 'n Easy Christmas Stocking

Materials: Any of the following yarns:

For a “crushed velvet” look: 4-5 skeins of Lion Brand Chenille “Thick & Quick”

For a homespun look: 5 skeins Lion Brand Wool-Ease "Thick & Quick"

For a feminine, “boucle” look: 4-5 skeins Lion Brand Terry Spun (used in photo)

Alternate yarn: 2 or 3 strands of worsted weight yarn held together

Crochet hook size N (10 mm)

Optional: 6 yds. of 1” - 1 1/2” ribbon

Gauge: Not real important, but work loosely

Finished Size: About 48” in diameter

Note: Sample shown in photo is folded in half.

Edging

Row 28: Sc in the first sc, ch 1, skip next 2 sc, (sc in the next sc, ch 4, sl st

in the 4th ch from hook to form loop, sc in the same sc, ch 1, skip next 2 sc)

52 times, sc in the last sc; ch 3, turn. (52 loops)

Row 29: 5 dc in the first loop, (dc in the next ch 1 sp, 5 dc in the next loop)

51 times, dc in the last sc. Fasten off. weave in ends.

Optional finishing: Weave ribbon over the dc’s worked in the ch 1 spaces of

round 29, and under the loops that have 5 dc worked into them. Fold the

ends of the ribbon over and behind the end dc’s, tack with washable glue or

needle and thread. Add bows as desired.
