Materials For towel ring: Worsted weight cotton yarn: green and red Two 2 lucite rings Red button
For napkin ring: Worsted weight cotton yarn: green and red One 2 lucite ring
For both: Crochet hook size G
Round 1: Lay one lucite ring on top of the other. With green, work 11 sc around BOTH rings, then work 21 sc around the top ring only, leaving the rest of the bottom ring unworked; join with a sl st to the first sc. (32 sc)
Round 2: Ch 1, sc in the same st as joining; (ch 3, skip next sc, sc in the next sc) 15 times; ch 3, join with a sl st to the first sc. (16 ch 3 loops)
Round 3: Sl st into the first ch 3 loop, ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 6 more dc in the same loop, (sc in the next ch 3 loop, 6 dc in the next ch 3 loop) 7 times, sc in the next ch 3 loop; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Bow With red, ch 80; fasten off. Weave through round 2 of wreath, tying a bow above the 6th sc of round 1.
Hanger With red, ch 6.
Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; ch 1, turn. (5 sc)
Rows 2-25: Sc in each sc across; ch 1, turn. (5 sc)
Row 26: Sc in the first sc, ch 3 for buttonhole, skip next 3 sc, sc in the last sc; ch 1, turn.
Row 27: Sc in the first sc, sc in the ch 3 sp, sc in the last sc; do not turn.
Edging: Sc in each stitch around the piece. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Finishing With green, securely sew row 1 of the hanger to the back of the wreath in stitches 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of round 1. Sew the button to the back of the hanger behind bow.
Napkin Ring
Work same as towel ring, using only one lucite ring and eliminating hanger. |
