Let me hitch my wooden wagon
To a comet in the sky,
Let me cruise the vague forever
'Til I live or til I die.
Let me smile on starry heavens,
Let me gaze on dying suns,
Let me run my race forever
'Til I've lost or 'til I've won.

Let me see the storms of ions,
Let me smile on nature's wrath,
Let me feel the meteors
In the light years of my path.
Let me know the anguish
Of the warm unquenched desire,
Having lived and loved these pleasures
Let me vanish into fire.

Let me hitch my wooden wagon
To a comet in the sky,
