Imagine indeed a world without hate, a world without violence, and a world without prejudice. I wonder if humankind is strong enough to seek peace and love and to live in harmony with nature instead of destroying everything in our pathway.
The Hopi Indians say that the Great Creator divided humankind into four colors. He sent the humans of each color to one of the four directions. He told the white race to learn about fire. The red race was to learn about the earth. The yellow race was to learn about air, and the black race was to learn about water.
When the four races and colors of humans had learned the lessons that they were sent to learn they were to come together and discuss what they had learned.. and use that knowledge to work together and in harmony with the earth. So far, this has not happened. The four colors of humankind have not sat down in peace and discussed the survival of our species.
But, there is still time. The Hopi say that if we do not come together as one, the time of purification will be upon us, and the earth will shake once again in the hands of the Great Creator.
I find it interesting that the Hopi story is repeated in the Bible as the four horsemen, in Hindu teachings as the four Yugas, and in the Mayan prophecies. Maybe we should start to listen to the wisdom of the ages before it is too late.
