Lawyers in The Family:

Leigh is the  daughter of Huel Love, a well known and loved attorney who practiced in Talladega County for many years.

"Attorney Love",  as he was known to his clients, opened his law practice in Talladega Alabama over 50 years ago.  Born in Elmore County in 1922, he began practicing law in 1949.

His most famous case involved a meteorite which fell from the heavens over Tuscaloosa, striking a woman on the head.  A large legal battle ensued over possession of the crowning instrument.

The case is mentioned in the novel "Fried Green Tomatoes,"  written by southern author, Fannie Flag.

Some clients referred to Huel as  "Little Jesus" after one of his infamous trials in which a jug of evidentiary moonshine mysteriously transformed into water during the night's recess of the trial.   Huel denied that he was in any way connected with the "miracle transformation" that ultimately "saved"  his thankful client  from a conviction of possession with intent to distribute. The frustrated district attorney  appeared to think otherwise , however, exclaiming :

"HUEL LOVE I have heard that Jesus Christ turned water into wine, but I think this is the first time I have seen moonshine turned to water."
