  February 2006

As we open the evening we find Eet and Tren Nori walking off the rattle trap of their “borrowed ship.”  Their first task is too reported back to the temple.  With that completed, for a while all was quite.

After a few days of rest, Eet was summoned to the counsel and selected to be sent off planet to assist the Wookees.  The mission would normally have fallen to a more experienced Jedi but in these trying times his help was in great need.

When the next assignment came up Tren Nori was assigned to work with Topo.  The mission is to stand around and act like a statue securing the Senate assemble.

Dear Diary:

I am working with someone new.  This one is called Tren Nori.  I think that he was one of those who was in Advanced Control class with me but I am not sure.  I did not talk to too many of the people back then.  Anyway he seems to be a pleasant enough sort.

Day one of Guard duty passed quietly.  The most exciting thing that I did was to sneak a peak at a "borrowed" datapad and read some of the latest Tech manuals that are out there.  I was hoping for something new on the construction of a light saber but what I did find is some of the tech manuals for the sensor that I picked up the other day.  It seems like it might be better then I first though it was.

Dear Diary:

The next day was a day off.  I spend the day  the day meditating over my crystal.  Yes, here I am the life of the party.  Topo the wonder mediator.  Oh well, I should not complain.  It keeps me out of trouble and should make the crystal better when it is finished.  After all I would not have to do this if I had the cash that some of the others had to buy a good light saber.  That and I could have paid more attention to the professor in construction class but no, I had to try to “fix it.”  I guess that is enough feeling sorry for myself.  I am getting back to imbibing the force in the crystal.

What I found out later was that Tren Nori spent the day following up on a note that he had gotten from Yoda.  It seems that Yoda has taken it on his self to "Fix" Eet's Wookee droid.  Knowing how protective Eet is with his projects Tren Nori located Yoda only to be dismissed.  Very unsatisfying.

Dear Diary:

Day three we returned to the process of trying to turn out brains into stone by standing in a corner all day and watching the senate babble away on meaningless issues.  After a few hours of boredom some excitement started.  Looking back on it, it seemed that everything was happening at the same time but let me see if I can remember some of the things that happened:

  • There was a message  that came to us via a runner.  The message was signed as if it came from Yoda but the language was all wrong.
  • Tren Nori  discovered that the Com-link to the temple is down
  • He went out towards the entrance way to get a better idea of the danger that is about to hit us.
  • He pulled the fire alarm.
  • I hid at the first sign of danger.  As a results I left with the Senators.
  • One of the four sets of guards obeyed the note and went to the front door. Later on they were discovered dead.  I warned one of the other sets of guards.
  • Tren Nori fought a battle with the invaders  and downed several of them before it was all over.
  • As a results of the fire alarm being pulled the cubicles that the senators were in left in formation.  As I was leaving with the Senators I looked down and I saw the fighters entering the Senate.  Once we were a short distance past the chambers, I was able to contact the temple and request instructions.  They told me to see to the safety of the Senators. That done I was free to make it back to the Senate to help pick up the pieces from the battle.

At the front entrance is where the first signs of the struggle were revealed.  A short way down the hallway, I found the reminds of one of the fallen Jedi.  I retrieved his light saber and called for the police to come and investigate .  It seemed that they took exception to some of my sharp-witted incites but I managed to keep them from ruffling my pleasant disposition.

With some extensive searching and no help from the police we were able to locate a passage way where the last of the missing Jedi, Joda, must have gone.  It seemed obvious that the heat of the battle drew them onwards.

Yoda was found alive although the last of the fighters managed to get away.

Dear Diary:

The next day, I tracked the master of the fallen Jedi and returned his Light saber to him.  It was a sad duty but the fallen Jedi deserved respect.

We were summoned to Yoda’s side as he is recovering from the prior days exercises.  Yoda from his sick bed sent us to Dagara 4.  The purpose of the trip is to discover what happened at the last of the Sith War from a thousand years ago.

Dear Diary:

Two words, road trip.

We took off shortly after talking to Yoda.  I am to be the Astrogater while Tren Nori. is to push the buttons.

The trip out to our location was peaceful.  I had to stand watch but was able to still spend ten days doing nothing but meditating over the crystal. Ten days out of a trip of nineteen days is not to bad.

The real excitement started when we came out of Hyperdrive.  The first sign of problems was that we were not in the right system.  I used the computer to plot a short jump over to the right sector and we ended up right back where we were.  I took a manual reading of our position and compared it to the computer reading and a striking difference become evident.  Someone or something has been messing with the Nava-computer.   It seems that the computer's charts are very wrong.  The only thing left to do to get us back on the right path was to use the manual readings and plot a manual jump over to the right sector.  It took sometime for me to come up with the right numbers for the jump but after a while I felt that I had some safe numbers to work with so I passed them over to the bridge.  It was at this point that we discovered that there was a lot more wrong with the ship then we had suspected.  Instead of the normal maneuvers that we had expected, the ship went crazy.  My first reaction was to pull the main power so that we could regain control of the ship.  I sure hope that helps the situation.  Well dear diary, I am not sure how much fun the bridge was having but I can tell you that was a bit more excitement that I would have liked.

Scout did a assessment of the entire ship and it seems that there is lots of issues.  The two biggest is we do not have the juice to get anywhere and the second is the entire computer system has been infected with a virus.  It is lucky that we did not kill ourselves to get here.  We seem to have only two choices'.  Either we sit in orbit and wait for rescue or we land on the planet and look for rescue because we do not have a hope of going anywhere.

I am was favor of trying our luck in space but that is not in the cards for us.  At least we do manage to make a safe touch down.  Thank the powers to be for a pilot.

After we regain our wits, I start in with the computers while Scout works on the engines. Boy are these things a mess.

I manage to remove the virus and do what I can to the sensors.  I would have liked to really fix it with some of the spare parts that is on hand but I was only able to bring it so far along.  Maybe when we are back at a base with some proper parts I will be able to do an upgrade.

Over the last few days while Scout and I have been elbow deep in ship parts, Tren Nori decided to see where we really are. It seems that this planet is a lot more dangerous then we would have liked.  I am not sure that we are still on the top of the food chain.

Between Scout and myself we were able to fix as much as we could but one thing that cannot be fixed and that is the lack of fuel.  Somewhere on this planet we need to locate some go-juice or we won't.  With the sensors on line Tren Nori was able to spot a likely source of fuel near by so off we go.

He quickly leaves me behind as he seems to almost fly through the brush but I am able to follow him.  There was a couple of things back behind me of interest but with some simple tricks they were able to be distracted.

I finely was able to close on his location.  It seems that he has been able to find a clearing made when a ship crashed into this planet.  The ship looks promising as well as it looks promising that I am going to turn into something's lunch as the clearing is occupied by the ugliest monster I have seen for a long time.  I sure hope that it does not see me.

Oh Sh*t !!!!

  April 1, 2006

Dear Diary:

I can't believe that it worked.

Well dear diary, I managed to get myself out of that mess quite successfully.  If you remember lowly me had just been spotted by that huge monster.  Not wanting to be turned into a "tater-tot" I turned to the force and the force was strong with me that day.  What I did was to move the dirt under front feet of the monster up to its head.  This caused the monster to stumble as it needed to remove the front two legs out of the three meter hole that I had created all the while it's vision was obscured by the dirt that I had moved there.

I did the monster no harm all the while I managed to remove myself from the lunch menu.  Not a bad days work if I do say so.

Of course I did not wait around and examine the wonderfulness of my handy work.  Into the bushes I went as I took the long way around to the ship.

By the time that I made it over to the ship, Tren Nori had done a lot of looking around.   The ship was old and interesting but not as loaded with as many goodies as it could have been.  We did manage to find some tools and fuel on their wreck.  With the tools that we could use to upgrade our wreck's engines.

The best part of their wreck was that the ship was at a nice angle.  The corridors made for a nice slide.  If it wasn't for the sharp turns and doors that had to be manually opened it would have raveled anything over at the parks.  I half to remember to get back here sometime.

Well as luck would have it by the time that we had found what we needed it was getting to dark to get back to our wreck. Tren Nori. wanted to stay the night where we were safe.  I had to agree with his logic but had an idea of something that we could try to get things moving along a bit quicker.

I went back up to the bridge and discovered, much to my delight, that the communication gear was in fairly good condition.  Mostly what it needed was some power.  I jumper some stuff and got it back to life.  My idea was that Tren Nori could talk the droid through how to fly the ship over to our location.  I was unable to convince him to go along with my plan so all we did was to report in and in the morning hiked back.

Dear Diary:

No coffee, no rolls and a long hike alone the path of the monsters.  How could the day get any better then this.

The way back was about as exciting as the way over.  I think that there was a couple of thing that thought of us a one of the basic food groups. Tren Nori was especially in trouble as he was easer to spot then I was.  With my ally and a bit of luck I saved the day once more.  All returned safely to the ship.

We moved out wreck over next to their wreck and transferred the rest of the stores into our cargo hole.

It was about this time that we turned on our sensors and saw that we were not alone.  Our best guess is a mother ship of slavers is harvesting the planet.  This must not be allowed to continue.

Our plan is to take over a scout ship with the help of the newly captured slaves then take out the mother ship.

April 22, 2006

Dear Diary:

We all knew the goal that we were after but could not decide on the course of action.  How to get the attention of a ship that we could "rescue" for our use and how can we free their cargo.  After some discussion, it seemed that the best course of action was to lift off and see if we can get some action. We were all in the bridge of the ship getting ready to lift off the planet when I quickly hit the warp drive switch.

Lighting the warp drive while we were on the ground was not something that we had talked about.  In  hindsight that might not have been the smartest thing that I have ever done but it sure produced the right effect.  By all rights what should have happened is to blow up the ship along with half the planet but what did happen is we got basted into space.  Or at least most of the ship made it into space.  The engines would never jump again as they turned into an art object.

As we were jumping into orbit, I do not know what was worse, the droid's cursing, Tren Nori's cursing or the shuttering of the ship but after the longest ten seconds ever we got past the worse of the excitement.  Before anybody could offer a more reasonable solution to our situation I start to vent plasma.  My goal is to blow the plasma and have that blows up the scout ships that is following us.  Off I ran to the engineering section.

I managed to get the explosion of the plasma that I wanted and it destroy one of the two ships.  The other ship was disabled by the blasts E.M.P.  I expertly turned the tractor beam around and low and behold, the disabled ship is brought into the hanger bay of our ship.  Sweet!

I evacuate the air in the hander and call for Scout to help out.  I figure that without any air, the crew of our soon to be new ship will be a little slower to react.

When everybody is ready I pump air back into the hanger.  I use some illusions to disarm one of the members of the ship and end up killing him with my blinding attacks.

Tren Nori eventually takes out his foe.  With them out of the picture we can take over their ship and finely abandon our moving pile of junk.

Scout moves our stuff over to the new ship.  One of their weapons as a trophy.

On the new ship I explore and find nothing.  It seems that the ship is designed to be all business.  For some reason or other my friends do not want me to touch any of the controls.  Gee, I cannot image why they don't trust me near anything that could blow up.  Hee-Hee.

April 29, 2006.

Dear Diary:

After long last we finely manage to arrive at out planed destination.  It is a fairly normal system and before long we are approaching the planet.  The scans of the planet do not show much activity but there is a small spot of power.

We land near it.

In the area of where we land is located a pyramid. We try to walk around it looking for a door but nothing can be found.  Based on the designs and construction we guess that there should be a door a short ways up on one side.  Tren Nori tries the spot but nothing happens.  I use the force but it does not have an effect.  We send scout up to the section of the pyramid that should have a door.  After some time it seems that Scout does not see the block that we see.  Tren Nori is the first to figure out that it is an illusion and with that he is able to walk through the false illusion. I have to give it several tries before I am able to walk through it as well.

Inside of the pyramid is a hollow inverted cone descending into a plane.  It is as black as any manmade cave can be and is on a huge scale.  In the bottom center the pyramid is a plane.  In the middle of it is a huge statue of a scarab.  Tren Nori discovers that he can use telepathy to talk to the essences inside of the statue. Wisdom is attained.  I am bored and slightly upset that there is something trapped inside of the statue so I start to make a bomb.

As luck would have it I did not make as good of a bomb as I normally do.  It is a dud but I did not know it. Tren Nori does not see the wisdom in setting off a very large bomb.  He tries to use move object on the bomb.  We struggle with the bomb but I can not be denied with this power.  For some reason I still do not understand I change my mind about the setting the bomb off.  At the last minute I take the bomb apart and put it away.

It takes a while but we manage to craw out of the pyramid and start the trek back to the ship.

We travel most of the way back before we since that we are being followed.  There is a short ranged sensor droid closing on our position very quickly.  We attack it and it self destructs.  I grab what looks like a key piece of it.  With a bit of luck I determine that there is a short code number stored in the chip.

It seems that we are not alone on the planet.
