NEW! Our Partita Font
Introducing Partita
Partita is now shipping!
A complete music font with a character set similar to Petrucci which
captures the look and metrics of the SCORE notation program!
Partita has been designed as an alternate music font -- a replacement
for Petrucci -- which gives Finale
files the look of Score, a music
notation program which runs under DOS and does not use fonts. The character
set and basepoints of Partita are essentially similar to that of Petrucci,
so that one can easily switch old files notated in Petrucci over to Partita.
The example below uses Partita in place of Petrucci and Sonata, and supplements
Partita with TempiFonts and ThesisFont.

In addition to the convenience of using Finale
rather than Score to notate files,
Partita overcomes some of the disadvantages of Score -- problems which arise
from Score's PostScript implementation -- which are discussed in a special
white paper available here.
Partita has been designed with a character set and metrics similar to
that of Petrucci, so that Finale documents notated in Petrucci may be easily
switched over to and back from Partita at any stage of production. Instructions
for switching music fonts in a document may be found in the Finale documentation.
