Today God gave to all of us,

A gift from Heaven above.

A precious little baby boy,

for all of us to love.

With streaks of moonbeams in his hair,

golden stardust in his eyes,

an angel's kiss upon his lips,

a love song when he cries.

Along with all the joy he brings

from the heavenly seas,

God also placed into our hands.

great responsibilities!

We must make sure his days are filled

with laughter and with love

His nights must be, safe and secure

with help from God above.

He'll need our understanding

and our patience as he grows.

With the right amount of discipline:

just enough it shows.

But most of all he'll need to learn

to trust in God above.

To turn to him throughout his life,

for comfort, help and love!
