Hi,
My name is Gail Smith..Master Hand Engraver. I have been studying the art of hand engraving for 23 years. I worked for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for 19 years in Williamsburg, Virginia. During those 19 years I went through a seven year apprenticeship program and earned my Journeyman Certification. I then received my Journeymanship from the State Apprenticeship Council of Virginia. In my years at Colonial Williamsburg I served as a Hand Engraver and in 1990 I was promoted to Manager of the Engraving Shop. In 1997 I left Colonial Williamsburg and opened my own business.... "GS Engraving"
