WINTER HAVEN LUNKER LOVERS

YOUTH TOURNAMENTS

Competition will be for youths only, no adult competition.

Participants must be sponsored by a Lunker Lovers member or Lunker Lovers sponsor but need not be related.

All participants will fish with a Lunker Lovers member or Lunker Lovers sponsor.  A member/sponsor may fish with three youths in the boat.

Age categories shall be:

  a. 5 years or less.  Any species.  Competition by fish count.

     Any bait may be used.

  b. 6 years through 9 years.  Bass.  Competition by weight.

     Adult may set hook.  Youth must land fish with netting

      assistance only.  Artificial bait.

  c. 10 years through 12 years.  Bass.  Competition by weight.

     Youth must set hook (Adult may pass rod after fish has

     taken the worm.) and land fish with netting assistance only.

     Artificial bait.

  d. 13 years through 16 years.  Bass.  Competition by weight.

     Adult assistance for netting only.  Artificial bait.

Except as noted above, participants in categories b, c and d will follow all club rules.

Tournament hours will be safe daylight to noon.  Lunch will be served after weigh-in.  Parents are invited for the weigh-in and lunch.

Sponsors will be solicited to donate prizes for the tournament.

All participants will receive a trophy.  Special trophies will be awarded to the winner in each category.

There is no entry fee.
