Let’s our minds of the great memories we have about the good old days of the 50’s and 60’s.  Let’s talk about the things we’ve done and the places we’ve gone.

Why don’t you have a seat in your favorite with a bottle of  or a can of   and let’s talk about all the memories of our youth.  OK, here we go down memory lane.

Remember all the  summers when we didn’t have air conditioning?  Who had back then?  We cooled ourselves in front of the old .  Actually, this is one thing I will never miss.

 

Remember on rainy days when we had to stay in the house?  The first thing in the morning our mother would sit down and have a steaming cup of , make some toast in our old and then she’d give us a bowl of .  We’d then watch some , play with our , play , or just sit and listen to rock and roll on our .  How about talking on the for hours and hours with our friend whom we’ve just seen 10 minutes ago?

 

OH, and don’t let me forget when we’d ask our mother for some money to go to the corner candy store so we can get some candy and .  Do your remember the on the ceiling? Who remembers the .  I was the champion of my block.  I spun that hoop around my waist for 2 hours while being surrounded by the whole block who timed me.

 

How about when our father would say, “Let’s go out for the day.”  OH, we’d get so excited and we would all pile into his  and spend the day at the beach in Coney Island.  If we were lucky we’d stay to see the .  Wow, those were the days.

How about playing in the GUTTER? The sewer’s were our bases.

 

How can we not remember going to our favorite luncheonette or the ice cream parlor and we’d put a dime in the  to listen to our favorite .  Then we’d grab our favorite girl or guy and and the night away.  What a GREAT era this was.  The 50’s and 60’s.  We had the best times, didn’t we?

 

Hey guys, do you remember going to the barber shop to get a haircut and this was always in front of every shop?  We never see this anymore.

I don’t know about you, but I LOVED .   was all over my bedroom wall.  I remember before going to sleep at night I would kiss every single picture of him.  A H H H H H, WHAT A FACE!

 

When we finally reached 18 years old we’d go right out and buy ourselves a .  Remember cruising the avenue with the gang looking for some pick-ups?  Great fun wasn’t it?
